Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a 12 Volt DC Power Socket. This unit is used for charging all 12 volt compatible devices. It'd be a great addition to your vehicle, your off road vehicle, or your RV or your boat. It does come with the waterproof cap, goes over and keeps that connection point closed and secure when that thing's installed. It also comes with this piece back here, which is the quick-nut install piece, so that's included.If we take a diameter measurement, this area here, you can see that it needs about a one and one-eighth inch diameter hole for the installation. This area back here has a length measurement from the bottom of this lip to this point here, not including the connection points, it's about one and seven-sixteenths of an inch long.
And then here at the back are the positive and negative connection points for your wiring. Wiring's not included.It is ROHS compliant. It's black in color, and the visible portion of the unit after it's installed has a diameter measurement of about an inch and a half.That's going to do it for today's look at the Volt DC Power Socket.

It works fine. We plug a Q-Beam spotlight into it for nighttime navigation while fishing on 126 square mile Choctawhatchee Bay.

This outlet is rated for marine use so you'll have no issues with it. I just recommend using some sealant around the edge of the flange so that water can't leak into the wall behind it.
