Replacement spanner wrench and hardware for the Ranch Hitch fifth-wheel-to-gooseneck coupler adapter.I needed this tool to take the goose neck hitch off my 5th wheel I put a 3’ cheater bar on it to loosen it and the wrench snapped in have I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone
I'm not sure it was the tools' fault but 2, 200 lbs. men with an 8-foot bar couldn't break loose the gooseneck adapter from the king pin. We even bent the spanner wrench. I gave up and used my plasma torch to slice it open to remove the adapter. The Mechanic installed it correctly. Found signs of never seize compound on the treads. Spanner wrench might work for other, but not us. I wonder if this adapter can be removed without destroying it.
that spanner wrench that you sent to me does not work, the part that goes in the hole is too big. I don't know if they have different size spanner wrenches or not.

Are you the one who originally installed the Ranch Hitch, or did you purchase the 5th wheel with it installed already? I spoke with the folks at Andersen about your difficulties in removing the hitch adapter, and was told that they have never had that happen before. Two men with a 4 foot cheater bar should be able to remove the hitch without too much difficulty unless the previous owner or whoever installed the hitch for you might have spot welded it or bolted it in place without you being aware of it. If you are the one that installed it, and you know for sure there is not any welding or unknown fasteners involved you might have some luck gently and carefully applying heat to the hitch with a torch to get it to expand slightly. This would be what Id consider a last-ditch effort to remove the hitch as heating it could have a negative effect on the composition of the metal and I personally would not feel comfortable reusing it after it was removed.
