Today we're going to show you the Blue Ox seven wire to four wire coiled electrical cord, part number BX88254. We have it together here and you can see that our coils are tied together, and it's just about a foot long. This will actually expand or stretch out to about seven feet. Now we'll take a look at its seven-pole end here. This is designed to work with your RV. The other end is designed to plug into your car that you're towing behind the RV.
It also comes with a provided four-pole connector as well. Now this does not come with a bracket to hold it in place, or the hardware, so you need to supply that on your own. Now all the wires and cables are encased in a silicone-based material. That will finish it for the Blue Box seven to four-way coiled electrical cord, part number BX88254. .

We were having a hard time finding a replacement cord to connect our motor home to our Jeep. Jeep dealer was not real helpful. I came across this site, they had what I needed shipped it promptly. It is great quality and works well. Even better than the previous one I had which did come from the Jeep dealer.

We've owned a few of these, and they've been fine. Our hook-up requires that the cord be pulled pretty tight, and we use small bungees at both ends to keep it plugged in when traveling, and to keep it from dragging down the road if it should become detached. We've had it happen, and the cord was ruined.
We would like to find a longer one but have not seen such an item for sale. A wire came loose a few months back, in the 'tow car' end. A simple fix.
These are the best cords we've found.

This was just what I was looking for and has worked great since I bought it a year. Really like the length for my motorhome-car connection; easy to install each time I get ready to hit the road. Thought about purchasing a second one to have on hand in case of an emergency.

Ordergin this electical connector is the first step in preparing my car for towing. It was the right plug for the existing socket that is already on my RV.

It is exactly like an original cable I had for my tow setup. The original is 9 years old and even though the original is still working perfectly it looks weathered. This one is my spare, just in case.
