Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at these Blue Ox replacement spring bars for your SwayPro weight distribution system. Now this kit is going to include the two spring bars, lift chains, and necessary hardware needed to replace your SwayPro spring bars. Now, one of the really nice things about the SwayPro system is that you can simply switch out your spring bars. So if you get a lighter trailer or a heavier trailer, make sure that your ride is gonna be nice and smooth.
You can simply switch out the spring bars so that it's got the right weight capacity for you, rather than having to get a whole new system. So we do have lots of different spring bar sets that will range from a tongue weight of 200 pounds, up to a tongue weight of 2,000 pounds. So you just need to make sure that you're getting the right set for your setups. Tongue weight of the bars do all look very similar. They are going to have slight thickness differences, but the easiest way to tell which bar set you have, they use a dot system.
So the 350 pound bars are not gonna have a dot. Your 550 pound max tongue weight is gonna have one dot like we have here. So these are our 550 pound max tongue weight. But then on that list there, you can see those dots on the right side. So it goes up to five dots for your 2,000 pound tongue weight rating.
So just make sure you're getting the right one for your setup so that it's not gonna be too rigid, and it's going to engage properly for you. All these sets are going to work with both your older locking pin style pivot tubes. So they've got the divot there on the top. So your locking pin will grab onto that to secure these into your head unit, and they are also going to work with your newer style through pin style locking tube so that you can get that pin passed all the way through there to secure that. So whether you have the older style or the newer, this will work great for you.

It's just going to accommodate for either replacing spring bars that you already have, or adjusting your setup for that different tongue weight. So that completes our look for today. I had originally purchased my Blue Ox Sway Pro and Weight Distribution hitch for a smaller travel trailer that we had purchased. when we up graded to a larger trailer I had no need to purchase another hitch, all i had to do was up grade to the heavier sway bars.

Recently purchased a new TT and needed to upgrade the spring bars on my Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System for the added tongue weight. New spring bars arrived on time and packaged well. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but have no doubt that they will perform as advertised.

37' camper and it pulls wonderful with these bars forcing it to stay stay in line! The blue ox system is the best! Many years of pulling large trailers and these are simple to use...backing and turning is a breeze!

We are glad we upgraded two levels heavier than the literature suggested. The original spring bars are entirely too light and allow too much sway in slight cross winds. I totally agree with other reviewers that state to go with heavier bars than the recommended rating.
Didn’t receive the part number that I ordered. I was shipped a lesser capacity part than I had ordered. I am confident that the product quality will be fine once I receive the product that I ordered. For now, I have to deal with the hassles of a time consuming product return process. Customer service appears to be supportive towards correcting the problem.
Brand new weight distribution bars came fast at a great price! I needed 4-dot bars but the trailer came with 3-dot. Using etrailer was an elect choice.

The 1500lb tow bars are great! The are great for my 28 Airstream.
Have been using for a Blue Ox sway weight distribution system for several years and new trailer had heavy tongue weight. And these new bars have been working perfectly for several months. Recommend this system to all.
Blue ox should be removed from the market. What a useless and expensive device. I put on the equalizer after having horrible sway problems with blue ox. And it is almost half price. I can't notice any sway with the equalizer. Blue ox was white knuckle driving, especially when semis passed me. If you have a RV trailer, DO NOT BUY BLUE OX!!!
Had great experience with the Blue Ox hitch set but discovered our hitch weight was more than the 1000# bars we had been using so these heavier bars do the trick!

Love Blue Ox weight distribution hitches! The fact that you can order different spring bar capacities without changing the hitch is awesome. Not to mention the hitch itself is the best of all my hitches owned. Quiet and steady as a rock!
