Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Blue Ox pole tongue weight distribution hitch adapter. This is going to allow you to mount your weight distribution system with the over-the-frame style brackets onto your straight tongue trailer. So, it's basically going to adapt your straight tongue trailer into more of like an A-frame trailer so that your brackets will mount properly. And you can use that weight distribution system to then, obviously, help keep your trailer in line.
This will work with tongue widths from three and three-quarters of an inch to four and a half inches. It will also work with tongue heights from three inches to six inches. So, make sure that that's going to fit your application. It's also going to have a maximum tongue weight of 2000 pounds. So, again, make sure that's going to work for you.
But overall, I think this is going to do a great job of making sure that your straight tongue trailer is still compatible with your weight distribution system, so you can keep that trailer in line. This is made here in the USA, so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US. It’s a great way probably the only way to adapt a single tongue trailer for a low distribution hitch. It’s a little bit more difficult to hook up being that it is higher mounted them built-in systems.
Great product! Exactly what I was looking for to use with my hitch extension for my boat trail and camper set up.
The item fits on the Ice Castle but it’s as far forward as it goes and still 4 incytqo far back. It will work but not as it should. It needs to be tappered to match the parallel bars.
Attachment is less than inspiring but hasn't come off so...
