Today, you're going to be taking a look at the Brophy mounting bracket for four-pole flat trailer connectors. That's going to be part number BK4F.So here's what our four-pole bracket's going to look like once we have it installed. It's going to allow us to have our four-pole wiring right by our hitch. That way whenever we get ready to tow, we can plug right up. This is going to be a lot better solution to secure our wire rather than just hanging it on our hitch or securing it to our safety chain connection point because we don't have to worry about our wires hanging down and possibly getting damaged. Our bracket is going to work with most four-pole standards plugs, and even if we remove the dust cap, you can see it's not going to fall back in even if we have to really push to plug in our trailer. Installing it is going to be as simple as putting two bolts in and running your four-pole connection through the bracket.
Let's show you how to do that now.Our four-pole bracket is going to have two holes on it, so we can either mount it to our hitch or another bracket so we can put our wiring in place. Keep in mind that our bracket's not going to come with any hardware, but if you are using a short or long bracket, there will be hardware with that kit. So I'm going to drop down my hardware from on top of the bracket. I'll line up the hole in my four-pole bracket, and I'll do that for the other hole as well. Then I'll come back and tighten up all the hardware. Now, you just want to take the dust cap off your four-pole, and coming from the back side, we'll push it through.
You just want to make sure that you push it in far enough that the tabs on there are going to catch. This will prevent it from going back in. I'm just going to have to work it back and forth a little bit. Then we can tie up any of the excess wires behind the hitch, and we can even put a little bit of electrical tape to hide the color on the back of our car. That'll finish up your look at the Brophy mounting bracket for four-pole flat trailer connectors, part number BK4F.

Bracket for 4-way flat trailer connector mounts to your trailer hitch or vehicle bumper and provides a sturdy, fixed location to easily connect your trailer wiring.Simple but effective means to hold connector. I taped everything for more secure and professional looking mounting.
Was simple to install only couple screws. Then slide the plug thru the hole and it locks into place. That’s it your done!! Holds the flat 4 pin plug perfectly haven’t had any problems
Well the first time I ordered all three of my products I was keeping in touch with you wondering what happened to my order after ordering on the 18th of August then he told me they had to get the part and they would send it out to me and then they said the part was coming in on a certain date they would send it out well that certain date came I got an email telling me that my order has been shipped well when I got here this is a week and a half later and everything's in there but the one metal part bracket that I needed I mean I waited that long and then they turn around they get it in and the person in shipping did not put the part in there so now this prolonged me from finishing my project I feel like somebody isn't doing their job there I spent over $XXX for three products and this put me on a holding pattern now I received that third part over the weekend and your company's offering me 5% on my next order which I was supposed to get an email from the lady who I talk to a week ago Tuesday said she would follow up with me which she never did that is not how a good report and business is supposed to be just expressing my feelings
We spent more time trying to get the 4 pin connector through the hole in this bracket than putting the hitch on the car. We ended up using a file to enlarge the hole a little, and it was still not an easy fit. Once through and testing the wires we found we broke one. I had to purchase another 4 pin and spliced the wires... and I tossed this bracket! Very poor design. If the connector itself was tapered along the front it might have helped get it through.
Seemed cheap (Thin metal) but works well with the harness kit. I bought this because NOBODY makes a aftermarket flange mount flat plug only trailer plug in.
Could not use because the metal pieces this is supposed to attach to do not work with my hitch.
Didn’t come with mounting hardware or instructions. It’s straightforward though. Luckily I had some extra bolts and nuts in the garage.
Had some trouble fitting in connector.
Had this bracket installed the same time I had a hitch and wiring harness installed. It fit well and holds the connector firmly. It sure beats wrapping the wires around the hitch.
seems to work, came with no mounding hardware so I had to make a trip to Home Depot to complete which was disappointing.
most difficult of all the items, it was hard to find on good mounting place & working upside down to drill holes was tough for an old guy
The opening in the bracket was too small for the 4 way plug to fit into. I had to use a small round file to enlarge the opening. I also had to spread apart the four tabs to get the plug to pass through and then squeeze the tabs back down on the plug to secure it into place.
You guys are awesome!! Thank you for the quality hitch and wiring harness
The bracket worked well. It makes mounting the 4-pole flat connector very easy.
Products were great, installation video could use a little tweaking, the auto factory wiring harness is much more difficult to get to than the video shows, might warn people the plug they are looking for is actually factory taped and that tape must be cut and then pulled down for installation, pretty hard to get to without removing the interior panel.
Fits perfectly and holds very well.
Fitting the plug into the bracket took some effort. I realize it needs to be tight but it was a tough fit. Had to file a little on bracket to squeeze plug in. Got it done
Haven't tried to install anything yet.
Works well for my application. It was difficult to put the 4 prong flat into the bracket, but with a little help from liquid soap, I got it done. In retrospect, I should have mounted it under the bumper instead of by the ball, but it is made of good metal and will/has held up nicely. Mike
Simple Bracket. Went to the auto parts store and bought some U-Nuts and Screws to make a clean installation.
This bracket does what it is designed to do. It fit my four prong receiver plug in place nicely.
The page for this bracket doesn't mention that it goes with another bracket (short or long).
It also should mention that it doesn't come with the attaching hardware for installation without the other brackets (namely, 2 self-tapping screws).
Does well, does not grip the receiver plug very well, but for occasional use it's a minor thing.
It works ok,but does not hold the connector very tied. I drilled and taped two 8/32 holes .to add two screws to hold the connector when I plug the trailer into it
Very Satisfied
