Video Transcript for What to Know About the Backing Plate for RR06 Recessed Swivel D-Ring Tie Down

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number BP06. This is the Brophy Backing Plate for recessed swivel D-ring tie-down. This backing plate is going to fit part number RR06 perfectly. That D-ring is going to be sold separately. This is made from a steel construction. This is going to add support to the tie-down. The plate would be placed under the surface of the tie-down location to offer greater support than just the wood or just the surface that you're mounting it to.

Again, it's just designed to add that extra support needed. Very light-weight. It only weighs about .74 pounds and, again, it is designed for part number RR06, which is sold separately and it can be found right here on our website. We're going to go over some measurements of the backing plate real quick. It's a square design, so it's going to give us a measurement of 6 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. The diameter of the hole here in the middle is going to be about 4 and 5/8ths of an inch.

The mount hole separation, measuring center on center, the distance between the mount holes looks like it's 3 and 3/4 of an inch. Again, square design, so that's going to be the same between all of the holes. The diameter of those mount holes looks to be about 3/8ths of an inch. That's going to do it for our review of part number BP06. This is the Brophy Backing Plate for recessed swivel D-ring, part number RR06. .

Brophy swiveling D ring tie downs are pretty awesome. Super heavy duty, really like the Swivel design. By having the freedom of movment the ancor is never in a bind, at any angle and tension is pulled evenly from any direstion. The matching backing plates are a must as far as I'm concerned. Installation was easy. All holes on the backing plates ligned up well. No issues. 4 1/2" hole saw is perfect for the D ring tiedowns just a little helpful info. I will give it up to etrailer.com also for the fast shipping. It means alot when you have a project going on. Over all satisfied with my purchase.

The Brophy Swiveling D-Ring Tie Down Anchor part # RR06 with the Backing Plate for RR06 Recessed Swivel D-Ring Tie Down part # BP06 are a great, easy to install set of tie-downs which can be used for securing a vehicle.
