Heavy Duty 3 Position Channels from Buyers Products connect your trailer's coupler or tow eye at the correct height for level towing. The towing components simply bolt onto the channel at the height that meets your need. The channel is built of strong, 1/2" thick formed steel. It is welded to your trailer tongue and includes gussets you can weld on for extra support.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a three-position heavy duty channel with gussets. The heavy duty three-position channel connects your trailer's coupler or tow eye at the correct height for level towing. A towing component simply bolts onto the channel at the height that meets your needs, and this channel is designed to accept components that are designed for 3" wide channel brackets. We can tell that by taking a measurement. Inside edge to inside edge is 3".The channel is built of strong 1/2" thick formed steel with a carbon steel construction with plain finishing. It does get welded directly to your trailer tongue and it comes with the gussets.
That way, you can add extra support by welding these on.A few measurements to go over with you real quick. I do want to point out that this is a three-position heavy duty channel, so position one, position two, position three. These mount holes are separated on center from one another by 2".Taking a look at the overall height, edge to edge, I give this a measurement of about 7-5/8". The overall width, outer edge to outer edge, that measures 4". Then when it comes to each gusset, they measure the same, so we'll start by measuring the long portion of that triangle.
That gives us a measurement of 3-7/16". Then measuring the short piece here, that's 2-7/16". That would be the same for that side as well. Then the thickness is 1/2".That's going to do it for today's look at the three-position heavy duty channel with the weld on gussets.
