Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a taillight mounting box. This mounting box holds one oval six-inch taillight.The light would mount to the box using a grommet. Lights and mounting grommets are sold separately and available at etrailer.com. The unit is made from a durable steel construction. It features a really nice black powder-coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. This can be bolted or welded to your trailer or truck.When it comes to the overall dimensions of the unit starting with the overall length, measuring edge to edge going in this direction, we get a measurement of about eight and three-eights inches.
Overall height is around three and three-quarter inches tall, and the overall depth, that's from front to back; that gives a measurement of about three and one-eighth to three and a quarter. So maybe three and three-sixteenths right in that area.The cut-out measures about six and three-quarter inches long by two and a half inches tall, and the internal depth from the back to the inside front is about three inches deep. That's going to do it for today's look at the taillight mounting box.

easy to order the exact replacement part I needed. Although USPS dropped the ball on getting it to me on time etrailer was prompt on shipping and providing tracking information for my order
Good quality and value. I decided to utilize these a little differently, I ended up cutting this in-half and welding one on each side of a utility trailer for rear taillighting. These made nice weld-on heavy duty trailer light boxes.
The team at eTrailer always communicates so well and having ordered (so far) parts to build three 10,000lb trailers from scratch, every order has come through without error. When axles are back ordered the team emails weekly to inform of delays, and they’re always just on point with customer service. I bought this aluminum tail light box to change from a vertical box to a horizontal box to provide more room when loading my car on my Mission Aluminum car hauler.
Installation was simple and lights fit the new housing just like original.

I was expecting the tail light housings I purchased to be made of thin steel that would make them difficult to weld on, but the are very good quality and I am very happy with them. I ama a truck and trailer mechanic and need to replace several of these housings due to rust. I will be getting them from e trailer from now on.
