Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a safety chain clip. The safety chain clip welds onto your trailer frame and securely holds a trailer safety chain in place. This is made from a carbon steel construction. It's very strong and durable, has a plain steel finish on it, and the diameter is 5/8. Now the overall length measuring edge-to-edge gives us a measurement of around 8-1/4. The overall height looks to be about 2-5/8 tall, and then the usable space, from my table top to the bottom of the clip right here, is 2, and then from this edge right here to this edge here measures about 4-1/2.That's going to do it for today's look at the Weld-On safety chain clip..

Its made of hot rolled steel which doesn’t have nearly the strength of the chain it is intended to pair with so, its ok but not great. A better material choice for something like this would be chromoly or cold rolled steel. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
I bought these 5/8” rod units to pair with 1/2” chain to offset the weakness.
Video descriptions are very help and product arrived quick .
As ordered, arrived in good shape.
