Today we're going to take a look at the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit for Ford trucks. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2011 to 2016 Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty trucks with either the 6 3/4 foot bed or the 8 foot bed and without the factory rail kit. Now these custom brackets will mount beneath your truck bed. They do provide the attachment points for your fifth wheel base rails. Those we do sell separately on our website.
It does require the Curt base rails and those are sold in either part number C16104 or C16204. Now these brackets will provide a custom fit by mounting to existing holes in your vehicle's frame. This will help minimize the amount of drilling that's required and it does cut the installation time in half when compared with Universal bracket kits. This part includes both the two mounting brackets, all of the mounting hardware, and instructions, and even the sensor control module relocation bracket. Now when this part is used with the Curt base rails this part is compatible with BMW, Curt, Demco, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reece, and Valley fifth wheel hitches. I used the bracket kit for fabricating parts to install fifth wheel hitch.
Excellent product. Torquing the large bolt through the frame requires 350 ft pounds. Needed to borrow a torque multiplier because of the tight space.All other nuts can be done with a standard 1/2 drive torque wrench.Have towed the new fifth wheel 8 times this summer and no hitch issues. Great company to deal with.
Not as good of a fit as the Reese counterparts I have installed. Had to open the 1/2” side rail holes up. I am happy with the product due to having the additional 3/4” bolt in the center of the side rails as others do not.

Still rock solid and towing my Fifth wheel after a year.

Easy install except for torqueing 3/4 bolt thru frame. Needed to be 380 lbs torque and most shops don't have a wrench that will go that high. I took it to a trailer shop and they did it for me for $25. Good product. Good follow up from their tech support with questions. Highly recommend them and this product. Saved me a ton of money.
