Replacement trunnion bar fits your Curt TruTrack weight distribution system with integrated active sway control (C17499). Constructed of forged steel, this bar has a maximum tongue weight rating of 800 lbs.I needed lighter tongue weight bars for a new trailer for my Curt 17501 hitch which I tow a different heavier load with so I sent e-trailer an email asking if these would fit and was told they would. Well, the holes where you pin the bars into the hitch head were about 1/8" off and the pins would not go in. I ended up having to cut 1/8" off the end that inserts into the hitch head in order to get the holes to line up.
These are Curt bars so not sure why they didn't line up but it could be because these were designed for a smaller hitch. The bars themselves are heavy duty steel and of good quality and if the fit were right I would have given them 5 stars.
This system works great for my trailer and e-trailer did a great job getting it to me after the the shipping company lost my parts. I really appreciate how quickly the resolved the issue and the part is working out great. Great company and great parts.
Arrived as promised. Exactly what we needed. Works great.

According to Curt, the different TruTrack weight distribution heads are not interchangeable. Since you are using a lighter capacity spring bar in a high capacity head, removing a bit of material from the end of the bar is an acceptable practice as long as you do so slowly. Being too aggressive in grinding on the product can heat up the metal, changing its physical properties as well as its weight capacity.
