Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Threaded Quick Link. This is a sturdy link that provides a quick link for chains, cables, ropes or straps. It' going to feature the threaded barrel keeper, that's going to screw shut. No tools are required. It's very easy to use. Now if you would like to use a wrench to tighten and loosen, an 11/16 inch wrench or a 17 millimeter would work on this unit.
It's made from a steel construction. It's got a nice, strong, durable design and it's going to have a zinc coating, so it's going to be protected well from rust and corrosion. Engraved right here on the link it says WLL2640, that's going to be the working load limit of the link, 2,640 pounds. The diameter is 7/16 of an inch. If we take a look at the opening that we have, when it fully opens we're measuring this gap here. You can see that's going to measure pretty close to 1/2 an inch.
Now I do want to point out that the diameter of this threaded portion is slightly larger than the diameter of the actual quick link. Again, the quick link has a diameter of 7/16 of an inch, the threaded diameter is going to be right around 1/2 of an inch. A few measurements to go over with you real quick. We want to give you both the external measurements and the internal measurements. We'll do the external first, so measuring from edge to edge it's going to measure about 3 5/8 of an inch going this direction to the outside of that barrel. Edge to edge is about 1 and 3/4 of an inch.
Now internal, we're looking at about 2 and 7/8 of an inch. We'll measure below the barrel internal, that's going to give us a measurement of about 3/4 of an inch and then to that barrel we're looking at about 5/8 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the Curt Threaded Quick Link.

Sturdy, zinc-coated steel chain link supports a maximum load of 2,640 lbs.I used these products to repair and replace the safety chains on a 16' haul trailer. The Quick Links made the change over easy! The original chains were never long enough and these items did exactly what I needed, and with the advice of customer support, I know they provide the proper strength to insure safety. The replacement lens cover was a perfect fit. Thanks!
Product looks good. It was a little bit too thick to fit through the chain link, but that is my mistake for not checking the measurements.
