Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the Curt mounting bracket for your four, five, and six round trailer connectors. So, this gives you a nice spot to mount those connectors without having that wiring just hanging there loose. It gives you a dedicated spot to put that, so you could mount this to your hitch bumper, a bracket on your trailer, or anywhere else that you might need it. It could also be used for flat tow setups or really anywhere that you're going to be using that type of socket. So this just attaches to the surface there.
You'll probably want to use this with another mounting bracket if you're putting this onto a hitch. You never want to drill directly into a hitch because that can void the warranty and also damage the structural integrity, so you may have to get another bracket to come off of this. We do have those available here as related products. It's going to attach that by using the black bolts and then the nut with the little star washer already attached, so our locking nuts. So you can just thread that on there to give you that attachment point there. For your actual socket, you might have to use those bolts.
Just kind of depends on what comes with that hardware. You do have two holes to choose from, so should match up with most sockets out there. I'll give you some measurements to make sure. The width wise about three and a half inches, and then about two and a quarter inch tall. The bracket depth is about an inch and a quarter.
The distance between the narrowest holes, center to center, is roughly one and three quarter inches, and then the outer hole, center to center, it's roughly two and three quarters. The diameter of that hole in the center is about one and a quarter. There is a little notch up at the top to help make it easier to get those items installed and allow for the wiring. Our mounting holes up at the top of the bracket are separated by about an inch and an eighth .. or inch and three sixteenths, center to center. It is constructed of durable steel with a black powder coat, so it should resist any kind of rust or corrosion, and that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the Curt mounting bracket for your four, five, or six hole round trailer connectors.
I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right bracket for you. Again, we do have a lot of other accessories here at etrailer.com, so check them out. Thanks for watching.
