Today on our camper, we will be taking a look at and installing the Camco Vented RV Bumper Cap with Tether, Part Number CAM40324. Keep all of our sewer hose accessories safely inside your RV's bumper with this Camco Bumper Cap. It features a tether that attaches to your bumper so the cap won't be left behind. Small holes in the cap provide circulation and the squeeze handle ensures easy removal. It's made out of a durable polyethylene construction so it is going to stand up the elements. You only get one with this part number so you will need to pick up another one for the other side. It measures 4 inch x 4 inch so it is going to fit your standard RV bumpers.
Now that we have gone over some of the features, I am going to go ahead and show you how to get it installed. As you can see, I am just going to be replacing my old cap here. I am going to pry that off. Then before I re-insert my new Camco cap, I am going to want to attach the tether to the side of the bumper here. You will need a hammer. We are just going to attach it right there in the center on the right side here.
I am going to hit that in place, just like that. As you can see, it is already serving its purpose so that we are not losing it. Then we will just take our cap, we will squeeze it and that is going to help us get it in place. Then we can just push on the corners and get it nice and snug. That is pretty much it.
That is going to complete our look and install with the Camco Vented RV Bumper Cap with Tether, Part Number CAM40324.

Had to drill a hole through the bumper and through the cap and put a carabiner snap ring to keep it from vibrating or bumping out while in transit.
Great communication and delivery was delayed a day because of a two foot snowstorm. Can’t control the weather. A very reliable company
Tight fit, but nothing a rubber mallet couldn't handle.

So, how many of us have lost a bumper cap either driving down the road or just left it on the bumper as we pull away from the dump station. I know I have purchased over ten pairs in my lifetime. Two of the main issues that this part solves are losing them due to poor fitment and moldy hoses due to lack of airflow. Great piece of equipment that is a must have for an RV bumper stored "stinky slinky". Fast shipping and great customer service.

The factory end cap fell off our trailer on the drive home. Four d the replacement at etrailer. Price was good, it’s was shipped fast! Easy to install and very secure. Like the vents to as our sewer hose is inside the bumper

Exactly what i needed to replace and not loose.
Fit great into my travel trailer bumper. The squeeze function is better than the hit in and pry out style I have been using. The clip and cable is a great idea. Have lost caps before while driving and by mistakenly not putting the cap in properly.

The caps are working the same as when they were new. Its nice not having wasp build in my bumper, the old style caps I had, had a hole in the center to pull them out, but all that did was give me another reason to look for something different. Which led me to buy these squeeze style bumper caps w tether. If I had a use for them I would buy another pair.
Best mod ever for a travel trailer! Great quality and fitment. I cut the mounting bolts down as they were too long for my application. The bolts provided are long so as to fit various applications. The powder coat finish appeared to be of good quality. Time will tell hos the finish holds up; so far so great! I mounted a dual fuel Champion generator/inverter on this cargo carrier. Then propane proximity made this a great decision/mod, as gas can be a PITA for small engines that are not used often. If you want the ability to have 120V when needed, run a propane genny and mount it with this Stromberg-Carlson mount....you'll wish you had done this mod years ago!!
Have had this end cap for over a year. Have taken several camping trips since installing it on both ends (ordered two each) of the bumper holding my black water drain tube. The caps have stayed in place while traveling so can't comment if the tether is strong enough not to brake if left dangling. Seems strong enough though. Easy install and removal squeezing the center hand grip area as instructed. In my opinion, a good product.
These caps fit much tighter than the stock one that came with my trailer. It is a bit tough to take off, but I would rather have it be on tight than to have it come off while driving. The cable that holds it to the bumper is very nice, I don't have to worry about forgetting the cap at dump stations.
Still in place, stay in place while traveling. After 1 year of use, couple thousand miles on trailer.

Working as expected. Fitment loosened up a little which actually makes it easier to remove and reinstall now.
New camper; lost a bumper cap right away. Love this replacement. Going to buy one for other side. Well made, ventilation holes and clip are both great features.

The reason order for my snapRing tire savers tire covers came in and I was impressed with them, not only how easy they go on but they hug the tire, and the how to video was a great, I hope this will help with the sun baking my tires on my travel trailer while sitting in my yard, and the bumper mount spare tire carrier was so easy to mount and the vented bumper covers went together just like in the video, etrailer you are making it easy to get stuff done, Thank you again,

These are a little stiff at first, so it was tough to remove it the first time.
But otherwise, works great. I love the retainer clip, so hopefully I don't ever lose it.
This keeps the hose in the bumper and does not (a) fall out or (b) get left behind. No insect entry either. I needed a few taps with a hammer to seat the keeper clip over the steel bumper.
I like these end caps,however,because of the way the cable attaches,the hose is difficult to get in and out of bumper.
There is no way they were going to jiggle out and get lost due to the perfect fit. The clip was great because I couldn't set it down and forget it.
Was delivered in record time. I was glad to receive the items.
Nice tight fit, shouldn't pop out like the originals on the camper. Like the tether feature to prevent loss.

snug fit (which is desired), but watch where you place the clip on the bumper or it may catch the sewer hose... also I wish I realized there was only one bumper cap per box!
