Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this DeeMaxx Disc Brake Caliber. Now this caliber is going to work for your braking systems for a 7,000-pound to 8,000-pound axle rating. And this is constructed of a cast iron material so it is going to prevent flexing. It's gonna help keep your braking torque consistent. It does also have a Maxx Coating.
that's gonna be a proprietary coating that's similar to a dichromate finish, So it is going to provide over 1,000 hours salt spray rating. So it is gonna be great for standing up to rust and corrosion, that sort of thing. So it is gonna be a wonderful option if you are looking to add this on to a freshwater or saltwater boat trailer or something like that. And this does use ceramic brake pads. These brake pads are going to provide superior performance for you.
That ceramic construction is pretty top-of-the-line as far as your different options available on the market right now, and that's gonna provide nice consistent braking for you. It's also gonna help withstand high temperatures for maximum wear. You can see it does have this slotted design, that's gonna men minimize your brake squeal so it's gonna give you a nice quiet ride. On the inside here, you can see we do have this large 2 1/2 inch diameter stainless steel piston, that's gonna give you ample braking torque for shorter stopping distances. And we do have the float design, and it's going to ensure your smoother braking with less wear and potential leaks on your system.
On the backside, we do have these laser-etched instructions that help take the guesswork out of getting everything installed and bleeding your brakes. You can see we do have bleeder caps here to ensure that no contaminants get into the braking system, and that could potentially obstruct the flow. So overall, a really great option here if you are needing to replace a brake caliper for your system or if you're wanting to upgrade to a higher-quality finish that Maxx Coating is gonna hold up well for you. So if you're looking at your good, better, best, stainless steel is probably still gonna be your top-of-the-line as far as the construction goes, but this is, in my opinion probably the next rundown is gonna do a really good job for you. So that completes our look for today.
Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
