Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen 00:00:01 here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Demco actuator master cylinder cap. So if something happened to that original cap, it got lost or broken off, this is going to be that direct replacement from Demco to get you back to working with that brake actuator. So you can see it's going to be kind of an automotive style cap, has a rubbery gasket on the inside to help prevent any kind of leaks or contamination of your brake fluid and should get you back to rolling. The rough size for that threaded portion is about an inch and an eighth, so it should fit on anything that has that same size. That's just roughly me measuring it with my ruler, so it might be a little bit different for your actual brake actuator.

exact replacement
Good master cylinder cap. Thread off this Demco cap get damaged because of the poor design of the master cylinder, not because of the quality of the cap. The galvanized metal thread on the master cylinder starts rusting in combination with brake fluid and age, this damages the plastic thread on the cap.
It was a small product but they treated me like it was a big order. I damaged my cap and needed a new one for the Labor Day weekend for my trailer brakes. They had an issue locating the part at first but called to keep me informed and got me the part in time!
