Today, we're taking a look at the Demco Steering Wheel Tie-Down Strap. Now, this strap is a very easy unit to get installed. It's designed for vehicles with non-locking steering wheels, and what it does is it keeps your steering wheel secured in place while your vehicle is being towed. Now, to install the strap, all you have to do is take this buckle right here, undo it, and then you want to latch this around the steering wheel at the lowest or most bottom part of the steering wheel. So you do that and then you have this strap that runs through a loop down here, with these hooks on it. Now, these hooks are made from a durable steel, but they do have a softer coating on them. So that way, they're not gonna scratch or damage whatever they come into contact with.So you'll want to adjust the driver's seat all the way back and secure the strap hooks to the metal framing of the seat. And then all you have to do is pull on the strap handle to tighten the strap and secure the steering wheel in place. So this uses a cinch buckle design, steel construction with a corrosion-resistant finish. The cinch design is really nice, because it does not allow the strap to back feed.
So to release it, you have to press that release lever there, and then you can loosen it. So it allows you to tighten any time you need to, but it does not allow back feed until the release lever is engaged. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Demco Steering Wheel Tie-Down Strap.

Like many vehicles, my Kia Soul isn’t made with metal on the rear hatch. Magnetic towing lamps are impossible to use. The product I purchased here solved the issue. The lamps fit securely under the rear hatch. It helps to have someone close the hatch while I hold the lamps in place. Rather than string wiring over the top of the vehicle I decided to run it through the interior of the car and out the front window to my RV plug. I feel it’s a neater installation. One suggestion I would make is to label the right and left light to eliminate guessing which is which. I appreciate how quickly my order was delivered.
I had forgotten about this because it broke on day 1 (a year ago) and I have not used it since. The plastic buckle (backpack style) broke and since it was sewn on , there was no way to replace it. In the end I went back to using my seat belt to accomplish this task, and then eventually, nothing. The car did not seem to mind. A waste of money, in my view.
The buckle dies not stay connected very well.
