Speaker 1: Today we'll be having a look at the Demco 5th Wheel Lifting Bracket. Part Number DM6100. Many of our customers here at etrailer have come to us and have expressed that they've had experienced difficulty in the past when it comes time to remove the 5th wheel assembly from the bed of their truck when they want to have full access to it when they're not towing their trailer. Many have also said that it takes two to three people sometimes to remove a 5th wheel assembly, especially when they have a slider, such as this one, because the slider assembly adds a lot of weight. When you want to make it a one man operation, that's where this Demco Lifting Bracket comes into place. As you will notice it looks like a kingpin. That serves a purpose of sliding into the jaws of our 5th wheel giving us a solid attachment point.
To utilize it we'll simply open our jaws of our 5th wheel. With the jaws open we can insert our lifting device. Making sure we watch our fingers. Enclose the jaws around it. With our lifting adapter now in place we now have an eyelet here to attach a cable or chain to a engine hoist, a standard hoist on a ceiling, a crane, a wench, something of that nature.
Any lifting device that you have where you can attach a cable to properly. We can use that to lift this out of the bed of our truck. Now this lifting device is made of a sturdy steel construction and has a lifting capacity of 500 lbs., which is minimally sufficient to handle most every 5th wheel regardless if you had a slider or not. For a few dimensions for you, you're looking at 5-3/4" tall, from the very base of it to the very top of it. Diameter here is 2", just like your standard kingpin. The base is 3" wide.
The eyelet opening has a diameter of 1-1/8". That completes our look at the Demco 5th Wheel Lifting Bracket. Part Number DM6100.

Lift your 5th-wheel hitch from your truck bed with a hoist. Just install this lifting bracket into the jaws of your hitch and attach a cable to the eye.Great tool to help lift my 5th wheel hitch out of my truck.
Worked perfectly in my companion 5th wheel hitch.
Works great. This and a portable engine hoist from Harbor Freight allows me to remove a heavy 5th wheel slider hitch from my truck alone !
Only using this twice a year it’s hard to judge long term but it’s solid,it’s simple and it works fine.Just the ticket to easily remove fifth wheel from truck bed.
Great bracket for lifting my SuperGlide hitch
This part does the job of lifting the 5th wheel hitch off the truck bed. It is a little loose working the jaws are closed, but when loaded it is tight. It is a good tool.
Did the job put my fifth wheel 18k together on my garage floor no way you could pick it up hooked to my tractor bucket set it right in the pickup will send pic next time I get ready to hook up
The bracket works perfectly! I use it to lift the hitch out of my truck bed.
didn't know if this bracket would fit in a curt a16 5th wheel hitch. Worked fine. Lifting approx 290 lbs. Hitch and adapter.Quite satisfied with dm6100 lift bracket
Welded extremely strong and also powder coated. It would take forever to make one of the same quality. A little bit on the pricey side but worth it. I can easily lift my fifth wheel hitch in/out of the truck by myself with a winch.
This bracket was perfect for lifting my 5th wheel hitch into and out of my truck with a cherry picker. I built a dolly with wheels to easily move my hitch around by myself.
It's OK. It due what I need it to do. The center is larger diameter than the pin in my fifth wheel so getting it in the hitch is cumbersome. Also the top got bent on first use. Still usable tho.
This bracket works great! My Demco Autoslide is extremely heavy, I could not imagine lifting the hitch from my truck bed without this bracket.
The Demco 5th Wheel Lifting Bracket - DM6100 works great with my over head winch for lifting my Demco 5th wheel hitch from the bed of my truck. Just clip into 5th wheel, make sure 5th wheel is latched. Then raise winch and drive out from under hitch. I then lower onto a cart to move. one person job now! No strained mussels any more!
Works great. Lock in, hook up, pick up, Done. My Demco 21K Autoslide hitch is about 300Lbs of pure greatness but tough to manhandle by myself. This makes it easy, along with my chain hoist of course.
Great product, great service from etrailer!
Excellent solution for effortlessly lifting our fifth wheel hitch from the bed of the truck. I installed a hoist on the garage ceiling to do the lifting and rather than struggle with straps around the hitch to hook to the hoist, this bracket easily slides into the hitch and provides a no brainer way to raise it up. What ever method you use to lift your hitch (cherry picker, engine hoist, winch, ceiling hoist, pallet forks on a tractor, etc) this bracket simplifies the process. No chains, straps or ropes. Slide it in place, hook it up, and go.
AND, the item arrived 2 days earlier than originally projected!
I have a Demco Autoslider for my 40' fifth wheel and F-350 6 3/4' box. It is a great hitch, but weighs a lot and installing and removing the hitch is not easy given the weight. I had previously used straps, however getting the hitch centered on my chain hoist took some work. The Demco lifting bracket makes that task much easier.
I was pleased to find this helpful tool. When lifting my fifth-wheel hitch out of my truck bed I used a rope that I tied around the hitch in order to lift it with my engine-block crane. It wasn't very satisfactory because the hitch lifted out at a bad angle due to the locations I chose in order to run the rope around the hitch, and my knots could have slipped. There had to be a better way. There were no suspension connection points installed on the B&W Companion Hitch, to assist me, so I sought another solution. This fitting does the job perfectly.
This makes it very easy to take my fifth wheel hitch in and out of my truck with my tractor bucket when you are by yourself.
Perfect fit and makes moving my slide fift wheel hitch so much easier!
Great tool for removing the Curt 20k 5th wheel hitch. I bought a hoist from Harbor Freight and installed it in my garage. I also made a coaster for the hitch so that I can wheel it around. Now all I do is insert the 5th Wheel Lifting Bracket into the mouth of the hitch, close it and I'm done. No more strain but a lot of gain.
A little expensive but worth it and they need to add this product to "5th wheel hitch accessories" to make it easier to find
Great welds, structurally sound. This will work well with my ceiling winch to lift Demco 5th Wheel hitch out of my pickup.
A little pricey but comes in handy when needing to raise or lower the heavy (280lb for Demco 18k Autoslide) Demco 5th wheel hitch with a chain hoist. Suspending the 5th wheel hitch above truck bed to adjust to one of 3 installation heights when initially installing the bracket bolts is a great advantage, too.
Absolutely love it. I bought a hoist on [another website] and mounted it to the trusses in garage. Fifth wheel hitch comes in and out in minutes without any heavy lifting.
Works as advertised. Much better the rigging I was using. I highly recommend this gizmo for anyone who routinely R&R's their hitch.
