Hi there, RV flat towers. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Demco's vinyl tow-bar storage cover. This vinyl storage cover from Demco is going to encase your tow bar while it's on the back of your motor home, keeping all of your cables, your wiring, and everything nicely secured inside the bags so nothing can fall down and drag on the road. It's also going to help protect it from the elements. If it's just left on here all the time. You're going to be at your campsite probably for a few days, and you might have a rainy day in there.
And there's no reason to let all that rain get on everything. Even though most of our tow bars do have protective coating on them, and things like that to prevent it. Additional layer of coverage is just only going to further extend the life of your tow bar components.It's a Marine-grade vinyl. So you know it's going to stand up to the harshest elements, and it does feel fairly thick. It is a little bit stretchy.
If I really tried, I'm pretty sure I could rip this in half. But it does feel like it's a nice, stretchy, durable cover. That's going to mold around your tow bar well so none of the little rods and pins are going to poke through it. So you can see how it encases everything here. It's held in place by the hook and loop fasteners.
And there are two because they wrap around the top and bottom side of the shank, where it goes into your receiver.To remove it, we just simply unhook those, and the cover will slide off. And here you can see our tow bar's now exposed, and our arms have the potential to slide out and lock in place. And things like that. With the bag encased on it, it's going to help just keep everything nice and together. And you can see our wiring here really is just held up by the safety cable.
Going down the road, it could potentially flop around and eventually fall out of there. And then you got this scraping on the pavement, which is going to make it difficult to insert the next time you want to use it.Same can be said for our safety cables. Even though we did hook them here, there is a chance that they could still fall down. And the sheathing here, if it we're to rub through, it would allow moisture in, which would then start to deteriorate and corrode our cable from the inside out, rendering it useless. It's going to work with all of our Demco tow bars. And it will work with most of the other manufacturers' tow bars as well.When you're ready to install it, we're simply just going to slide it around our tow bar, making sure that we get all of our tables and wiring inside. And then we just bring around the hook and loop fastener. And we'll do the bottom as well. All in all, this cover's just going to be a great way to help protect your investment. Tow bars are expensive, and we want them to be working properly every time we use it. Nice, smooth transition of our arms extending and locking in place. That's what we want every time. And by helping to keep out any of that moisture, it's just going to further elongate smooth operation of the tow bar.In addition to protecting your tow bar with a cover here, I would also recommend that you pick up a set of hitch pin locks to ensure that your tow bar beautiful set up here doesn't go walking away from your campsite. Perfect fit. I tried a “generic” cover and it was not big enough the cover the hardware used with the Demco tabless product line. This one is the perfect size!
High-priced marginally functional vinyl bag that becomes a great collector for water in the rain. The two velcro tabs don't keep the water out. It's best to remove the cover and drain and dry it out after every rainfall. And keep the tow bar lubricated to repel moisture. I am looking for a better water right solution.
Easy to find items on their website. Searches extremely easy. Excellent order process and on time delivery. I would recommend eTrailer for my trailer and RV equipment and accessories.
This cover was purchased as recommended for the e67ZR tow bars I recently purchased. I found the fit to be poor because they do cover the stored bars and cables to protect them from sunlight but can not be secured with attached velcro to make it water tight and it has no drain holes if water does get inside.
Great cover keeps everything together when attaching and moving it
The cover seems to be well made and it does a good job of covering my tow bar and its associated cabling, but it certainly is pricey for a piece of fabric-backed vinyl with a seam sewn around its border, a couple of patches of velcro to help in stay in place, and a big Demco logo on the end. I can only hope that it stands up well to sun and weather. Time will tell.
Tow Bar cover arrived as scheduled and was well packaged. Was very easy to remove from the hard plastic case it was in. Not the usual case. Was a replacement for the original cover for my Demco Excali-Bar tow bar purchased in 2000. More room inside this cover than the original. Pictures of tow bar and old and new covers attached. I like the fasteners. Much easier to work with than a zipper.
Received the cover for my tow bar. The cover cleans up the rear of the RV with the tow bar attached. The cover is well made and I like the velcro used to secure the cover to the tow bar. Good purchase and does perform as advertised.

Material for the storage cover is very strong. The product is very easy to use and looks nice. Well worth the money.
Product arrived quickly and was exactly as represented. We have a older Demco tow bar from the year 2000 and this fit perfectly.
