Hello and welcome back. This is Steven with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Demco hydraulic drum brake assembly. Now, this particular assembly is a dual servo, so it's got two servos here, one on the side, and it's gonna give you that 10-inch right hand side, 3,500 pound rating. So again, this is for a right hand or passenger side assembly. It does come with a four-on-four bolt pattern for your flange to mount to the flange.
It's gonna fit approximately a 13 to 15 inch wheel size. Again, 3,500 pound rating. It does come with all your connections and everything here. Again, a very nice galvanized finish to protect against corrosion and rust. If you need to adjust your brakes periodically, you simply pull out one of these two plugs here, insert your screwdriver from the back side, and you'll adjust that star wheel accordingly.
Now again, a quick way to remember if I need a right hand or left hand brake assembly or a disc brake assembly or whatnot on anything, if you're looking from the back of the trailer towards the front, looking towards your tow vehicle, the left side is your driver's side, and your right side is the passenger side. You can also tell because these pads, one of them is shorter and one of them is longer. This one here is longer. It reaches farther around. And the shorter one is gonna be your lead pad.
So when you hit the brakes, that one's gonna start slowing you down and it's gonna come in contact with that longer one last to help finish that braking. Again, this is made for marine applications, hydraulic drum brake assemblies, perfect for your boat trailer. It's dual plunger. You can use it in forward or reverse. It's gonna stop for just as well either way.
The mounting bolts that you need are sold separately. It is made here in the USA. Again, it's a 10-inch wide assembly and about 2 1/4 inches thick. Well, I hope this has been helpful. We will definitely look to etrailer.com in the future when we need components for our ground service equipment!
Had problems with my boat trailer brakes. Corrosion from salt water use made them stick and drag. Purchased dual servo brake assemblies to eliminate the extra linkages on single servo brakes and my brakes now work like new.

I purchased these items without looking at them in person, witch I normally don't do. After ordering I read more about the product, and I thought I ordered the wrong items.
