Hello again, etrailer friends, Steven here. We're gonna be taking a look at this 10 inch Left Hand Demco Hydraulic Drum Brake Assembly. Now, this drum brake assembly is ready for 3,500 pound axles, it is left hand. And one way you can tell that is, obviously, when you get your part, it's gonna have an L on it or a sticker that says left hand whenever you get it. But another thing that a lot of people don't realize is you can see this pad here, it's a little shorter, it doesn't come all the way up right to the top. The other pad is longer and does come all the way to the top.
So the shorter pad will always be in the front or heading towards the front of your trailer, and that longer brake pad's always gonna be in the rear of the assembly. The reason is that shorter pad is gonna contact the drum first, that's gonna help slow down the trailer, and then that larger pad will engage, you know, a few seconds later, contact the drum last, and finish stopping that trailer smoothly. You can also look from the back of your trailer towards the front of the vehicle, and the left side will be the driver's side and the passenger's side would be the right side. Now, this particular assembly does have a 4 on 4 mounting pattern. So you pop your old one off the axle flange and use the same hardware to pop this new one on.
If your old hardware breaks off or if it's bad, you wanna get new ones, those do not come with this, you will have to get them locally. It is galvanized finish, so again, this is made for water use, marine grade, very durable finish. You can kinda see the light there, it's very reflective, very good finish on this product. It does come with your rubber plugs, that way, you can pop them out, put your screwdriver in or your brake adjusting tool from the back, and move that star wheel accordingly to adjust your brakes. Make sure you're doing that periodically.
The dual servo up here is inflated. All the springs and everything inside are stainless steel springs, it's gonna make it last a lot longer for you. It is 10 inches across, side to side, and 2 1/4 inches thick, side to side this way. And as you can see, the brake pads are riveted on. That's gonna give you an increased durability of your brake shoe.
And typically, this is gonna fit a 13 to 15 inch wheel, and it is gonna rate up to a 3,500 pound axle. It comes with a good one-year warranty. And like I said, marine grade application. Well, I wanna thank you for taking a look at this Demco Hydraulic Drum Brake Assembly today with me. Again, this is a left hand side. I'm Steven with etrailer, safe travels. I hope you catch some big fish while you're out in the boat, or have a great day on the lake.

Driver's-side hydraulic trailer brake assembly features a dual-plunger design. Galvanized steel resists rust, making the assembly great for boat trailers. Mounting flange has 4-bolt pattern.I purchased these items without looking at them in person, witch I normally don't do. After ordering I read more about the product, and I thought I ordered the wrong items. I received them in a very short period in a professionally packed package, opened them up and looked them over. To my surprise the we're a perfect fit. To make a long story short, thinking I ordered wrong parts, I called customer service to request a rma# to return, before receiving parts. They had no problems with me returning the product. Very professional friendly person I talked to on the phone, she even tried to find what I was looking for. Needless to say I and keeping what I had ordered and will use it. They gained a customer and more orders to come.

I work for Kansas Jet Center, LLC. at the airport in Manhattan KS, and these brake assemblies made quick work of replacing the brakes on our belt loader. We will definitely look to etrailer.com in the future when we need components for our ground service equipment!
Fast and cheap!
Had problems with my boat trailer brakes. Corrosion from salt water use made them stick and drag. Purchased dual servo brake assemblies to eliminate the extra linkages on single servo brakes and my brakes now work like new.
etrailer.com treats you like a valued customer...service, advice and follow-up.
After having trouble on the road, etrailer was quick in gettiing me the correct replacement parts to salvage at least half of my vacation.
The brake and hub assembly couldn't be easier to install to get me back on the road saftly.
Thanks to all at etrailer for expediting my order so Quickly
