Hi there, flat towers. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Demco's Stay-IN-Play DUO Reinstallation Kit.This kit's going to come with the necessary wiring and fitting components we're going to need to get our main components from our old vehicle transferred over to our new vehicle. If you've recently purchased a new vehicle and you're planning on flat towing that behind your motor home, the good news is you don't need to purchase a complete new Stay-IN-Play DUO kit if you're not planning on flat towing your old vehicle anymore. Most of the large components that are significantly more expensive than our reinstall kit could be transferred over, so you can pay just a fraction of the cost to get a Stay-IN-Play DUO operating on your new vehicle. The high-dollar components from the Stay-IN-Play DUO kit are going to be your operating unit here. Your G-force controller can also be moved over, as well as your actuating cylinder attached to your brake pedal. Both of these components can easily be removed and transferred over to your new vehicle.
You'll just need the hoses and fittings and components to get them all reinstalled. Our reinstallation kit's going to come with those components, so we don't need to try to reuse this old hose and wire that we've already cut to length for our old vehicle. That's likely not going to fit because we're going to have to put things in different locations if you bought a completely different model. You'll get new 1/4" hard lines so you can make the connection between your old actuating cylinder over to the operating unit. You'll receive a new breakaway switch in your kit. I do want to mention the cable here.
This does not come included with it so you'll want to make sure you save your old breakaway switch cable. And a new LED indicator, because if you try to remove your old one, the adhesive that sticks it to your mirrors is likely not going to adhere to your new mirror, and the LED here is really not designed to be peeled off. It could potentially damage the LEDs. And you'll also receive new electrical connectors, ring terminals, and hardware to get all those other components connected. You do get new fittings for tapping into your vacuum line, but one of the things that doesn't come in your kit is the new vacuum line. Now, you can take off your vacuum line here and try to reuse it, but one of the things you'll want to keep in mind is that this vacuum line was likely cut to length for the vehicle it was in.
So, you may need more length of hose for your new vehicle, depending on where you've mounted everything, but you can get this at your local automotive store. Now, one of the things I do want to mention, if you are taking your vacuum line off your old vehicle, the vehicle likely will not run, or run very poorly, if you leave this disconnected, because that's a large vacuum leak. So, you want to cap off this T or run another fitting in here and clamp it together, or you could just replace this line altogether to ensure your old vehicle works properly. Now, even though you're only getting a fraction of the kit to be able to transfer these components over, the installation is going to be the same as a full install of the Stay-IN-Play DUO. So, I highly recommend you to use our fit guide and look up your new vehicle, because we'd likely have a video available here with full instructions on how to get the new setup installed on that vehicle. And that completes our look at Demco's Stay-IN-Play DUO Reinstallation Kit.

Kit allows you to remove your existing Stay-IN-Play DUO supplemental braking system (SM9599006) and reinstall into another tow vehicle.Excellent product and customer service, the last kit was purchased close to 35 years ago when we first began flat towing. Was still working fine. The reason for purchasing the new reinstall kit was to set up my new Jeep Wrangler.
All the components were included making it a breeze to reinstall braking system in my Colorado pickup
