Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at these Derale universal, bendable metal mount kit. These universal, bendable metal mounting brackets are designed to be used with the Derale fluid coolers, but the universal style is going to work with most applications. These are going to be great for your transmission, engine oil, or power steering coolers. And pulling out my tape measure here, let me just give you some overall dimensions so you have a good idea of the size of these brackets.
Looks like we're sitting, with the length, pretty close to 6 7/8 inches long. And regarding the width, we're sitting right at an inch wide. And this kit includes everything that you see here. You're gonna get four bendable mounting brackets and then the screws to help you install these into place. And that's gonna conclude our brief look today.
I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

Universal, bendable metal mounting brackets for Derale fluid coolers.Great value for the price and free shipping, package arrived on schedule, was packed extremely well, (I would know, retired Postal mail carrier), Derale 13504 transmission cooler was exactly what was described should work well for me to tow a 3500lb travel trailer with my 2008 GMC Acadia. Will be installing the cooler this week. This definitely should keep my transmission from over heating, it's rated somewhete at 22500 GVW. My vehicle and travel trailer CGVW is approximately 9000 lbs.
Great product, really helped keep my trans temp down. I deleted the thermal device on my suburban transmission (sorta like a thermostat) and coupled with this external cooler my trans runs an average of 50 degrees cooler when towing, sometimes more. Definitely worth it.
Package arrived a day earlier than expected. Will be a week or two before installation. Products appear to be of great quality. Looking forward to installing the cooler.
The plates were easily bendable and easy to work with. They made the installation function well and look professional.

Still works great!
I ordered a transmission cooler for my '09 Tahoe that, even with the small cooler for the towing package, just could not handle the California/Oregon mountains. I had my trusted mechanic install it (he has much greater expertise than I). I've just returned from an identical trip over those same mountains. What a difference! Instead of topping out at 230 degrees (dangerous), I topped out at 183, only 13 degrees from normal operating temp. I ordered the cooler and installation hardware. It's been awesome not to have to worry anymore about transmission burn out hauling my trailer that is 25% BELOW advertised towing capacity of this vehicle. Kudos to etrailer for offering such great products!

Still awesome. Love it.
fast shipping and package looks good, I haven't install it yet but will be doing it tonight.
The bolts were not self-tapping like I thought they would be. It was not a big problem, I just had to drill a pilot hole. Other than that, the brackets were sturdy but easy enough to cut with avaiation snips.
This set worked perfectly, it is sturdy yet you can bend it to the shape needed and it holds strong. I used a slightly different type of self drilling screw as the steel on the front support on a 05 Dakota was too tough for the pointed self drilling screws included.
These worked really well to mount my cooler. A little cutting and bending here and there and I was able make a nice sturdy attachment
Great product!
Installed the external transmission cooler for my 1998 Honda Accord and needed these brackets to install. I did not want to use the zip ties going thru the radiator, so these strips of metal allowed me to get a better location.
Product is good. The only thing I think I would want out different is that in the mounting kit I would add some 1/4" bolts with nylock nuts so that you can fasten the bracket to the oil cooler. But none the less the brackets served there purpose.

No problems! Still working as good as the day I installed it
Excellent balance of strength and flexibility. Used this for a flex-a-lite cooler... 2013 GMC Yukon XL Denali. Great product!
good additional mounting strips for the transmission cooler I ordered. gave me options on location and worked like advertised.

extra mounting hardware holding up fine after a year, trans cooler has ped temps at least 30 degrees, very satisfied!
I think these provide a better way to install a transmission cooler rather than by pushing the installation rods through the radiator. Easily bendable to adapt to any installation.

Installed easy. No problems after a year.
Included everything I needed. I installed this on a 2005 Honda Pilot. Then pulled a 2500lb horse trailer over a thousand miles from sea level to 9000 feet with no issues. I installed onto the AC radiator with the in/out tubes oriented toward the driver side and around the edge. On this year make/model, you can simply pop the top plastic cosmetic trim cover and remove the top radiator brackets without pulling apart the entire front end. To attach to the tranny cooler line, the easiest access is to remove the battery and the battery support plate. This is much easier than some of the methods (possibly necessary) on other year/make/models.
Products are what were recommended in a YouTube video and are exactly what was looking for to solve my car's towing issues.
Installed this in my 2008 Avalanche, utilizing the following kit:
D13504 - This cooler
D13002 - Mounts
D13003 - Extra hose
D13035 - GM adapter
Everything went well, took the longest time just figuring how I wanted it mounted in the front to make me happy, second to the time spent was of course removing the front fascia of the car. Once I got it in place the only extra things I needed were some P-clips for hose mounting, some split loom and zip ties(my necessity to prevent chafing ever). The GM adapter went in fine, was a bit leery of how 'loose' it felt even after being clipped in, it does move in and out about a 1/4" but this is normal and no leaks present, just make sure the clip retains the adapter. Pushing the new hose on the old hard line that went to the radiator is a bit of a bear, use lube on all your hose barbed ends to ensure easy insertion. Also when mounting the cooler, some screws were attached to the bracing of the car, pre-drilling those holes with a small bit helps tremendously, rather than risk trying to drive a self tapper in with force, slipping and putting a hole in your condenser.
After install, transmission is running about 30-40 degrees cooler in normal city driving, will test to see how it does with a tow load. Under towing I would get up to just shy of 220 degrees in the Florida heat, hoping to see it stay below 190 under load.
Purchased a Tranny cooler from Etrailer a year ago and it has worked out great. Parts shipped out quick. Everything was of the highest quality. Very easy to install with the bracket kit. I will be sure to use Etrailer again.
I used these brackets to install a transmission cooler I also bought from this etrailer. This was the best upgrade I have ever made as it dropped my transmission temperature 30 degrees when towing in hot weather. These brackets are easy to use, bendable and drillable.
Bought both the transmission cooler and engine cooler for my 2007 Chevy Tahoe. I'm a DIY'er cuz I hate paying for something I can do on a free weekend. Install was a breeze. Drop in temperature for the transmission was great. No more worries while pulling my trailer. Both quality products, both easy to install, and still working great with no leaks till this day.
The trans cooler was easy to install with the mounting kit. I had to go and buy some more hose and mounting screws to make it work but I knew that before I started. The hose was because of where I wanted it mounted. The trans cooler is keeping the transmission about 30 to 40 deg cooler then before.
Trans. cooler/shipping.......I ordered a transmission cooler on the day before New years eve. I requested 3 day shipping w/o knowing that there would be no shipping until the Monday after New years. Ok, 6 days total. I now realize that there were no shipments going out the day I ordered (or Friday that they worked as well), but truly, I think I should have been credited and/or appeased somehow. No one ever 'bit' at my urgings.
Ok, the better. The shipment was shipped out when promised. Email communication was very good and responsive w/the staff. The cooler itself looks good, some roughness in the pre-drilled holes in the mounting flanges, just a little rough, but installed good, and looks like a good unit. Being a little picky, but the days of people buying just 'anything' are over, I want the most out of my dollars, they are too hard to come by in this 'jobless recovery!!' haaaa
This product performed as expected when I used it for installing a transmission cooler in my 2008 Avalanche. I only needed to of the four to get the cooler mounted to my truck. This is a very useful product.

I towed our 6000lb camper over 1500 miles in the summer heat to New Mexico in July. Transmission never got over 200 deg. Worked great!
