Efficient tube-fin core merges a 6-pass engine oil cooler with a 4-pass transmission fluid cooler for maximum benefit. Intended as replacement core for Derale combination transmission and engine oil cooler systems.

Features:

  • Can be used with any 2 automotive systems - transmissions, engines, fuel or power steering systems
    • Fluids flow through separate tubes inside the same core for effective, simultaneous cooling
  • Lowers fluid temperatures with heat-exchanging tube-fin construction
  • Designed with copper tubing expanded into aluminum fins for maximum heat transfer
    • Copper is the best material for conducting heat from the fluid, and aluminum is ideal for transferring and dissipating that heat
  • Protected from possible damage during installation by plastic fin guards
  • Functions as replacement part for Derale combination coolers:
    • Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler with Multiple Threads (D15902)
    • Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler for GM Applications (D15903)
  • Made in USA

Specs:

  • Inlets: 11/32" hose barb and 1/2" hose barb
  • Overall dimensions: 16-13/16" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 3/4" deep
  • Core length: 13-7/16"
  • Distance between 6-pass inlets: 6-1/4"
  • Distance between 4-pass inlets: 3-3/4"
  • 1-Year warranty

Perhaps the simplest type of heat exchanger, the tube-fin effectively cools a variety of automotive systems. The concept is simple: Fluid cools as it travels through the core by transferring heat out to the fins. The fins then provide the surface area necessary for sufficient heat exchange to take place, allowing the heat pulled from the fluid to dissipate into the surrounding air. Add to that Derale's unique turbulator technology - whereby fluids are agitated continuously to not only facilitate heat transfer, but also to prevent any undesirable drop in pressure - and you have an easy and effective cooling system.

  • Derale Tube-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit # D15503 Recommendation
The most economically priced engine oil cooler we offer is the Derale Tube-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit # D15503, while is more expensive than the Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler # D13302 that you referenced it also includes all of the necessary fittings and adapters to install it on your vehicle that the # D13302 does not. I attached an FAQ article on engine oil coolers for you to check out also.

  • Transmission and Power Steering Coolers for a 2010 Honda Odyssey
Transmission and power steering coolers are not vehicle specific, though sometimes some special fittings are needed. For your 2010 Honda Odyssey, you can use any transmission/power steering cooler that will fit in the engine compartment, see FAQ link. You could also use a combination cooler which uses the same core for 2 systems. The Derale cooler, # D13302, would be a good choice with install kit # D12006. The Air Duct that Honda refers to is something that gets mounted to the body of...

  • Radiator Adapter Recommendation for a Transmission Cooler Install on a 2003 Ford F150
For the radiator side of the Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler Core # D13302 that will work as the transmission cooler you would want Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings # D13025. The sandwich adapter you purchase to go with the oil cooler side of the # D13302 should come with barbs to attach the rubber lines to. You might be interested in purchasing a Derale Thermostatic Sandwich Adapter Kit # D15782. This product has multiple thread sizes to that it should work on your...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan
Because it uses a cartridge style oil filter instead of a spin-on type, the sandwich adapter required to install an oil cooler can't be used therefore we don't have an option to install an oil cooler for your vehicle. This being said, newer engines do a very good job keeping the oil cool already, so in all honesty a cooler isn't really needed on your vehicle. You could indeed benefit from a transmission cooler, though. The best place to install a cooler is directly in front of the radiator,...

To properly install the Derale Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler # D13302 on your 2003 Ford F-150, you will need to purchase the hose separately. I recommend the Derale Single-Hose Transmission Cooler Installation Kit # D12006. I have provided a link to this product. Provided the Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler fits properly in your vehicle, you will also need the Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings # D13025 and I have provided a link to that product as well. • Best Solution for Lowering Vehicle Temperatures When Towing
The added stress from trailer towing usually shows up as an increased transmission temperature. • Are Transmission Engine Oil and Power Steering Coolers Needed For Towing with a 2007 Honda Pilot
Since the manufacturer recommends these aftermarket additions for your Pilot, we cannot suggest differently. The thing to remember is that if you do add these items and a warranty issue comes up, you have shown that you took the proper steps to ensure that your vehicle would perform properly so warranty service should not be a question. Another thing to consider is that heat is the enemy of your engine, transmission, and power steering. Using a cooler will dissipate more heat and prolong...

The Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler Core, part # D13302, offers the convenience of being able to cool two engine fluids within one single housing. The protocol for cooling engine fluids is generally to cool the engine oil as a first priority, followed by the transmission fluid, and then the power steering fluid. Coolers are not vehicle-specific, meaning that you can use the largest one that will fit in the space available in front of your air-conditioning system condenser....

  • Parts Needed to Tow a Trailer With a 2010 Honda Odyssey
By all means, take your children camping! I took a look at the owner's manual for a 2010 Honda Odyssey and it looks like the maximum total trailer weight (the weight of your loaded trailer) you Odyssey can tow is going to depend on the number of occupants. According to the manual, the number of occupants is calculated at 150 lbs per person, so take that into account, though it seems likely your Odyssey will still have enough capacity for a 2,300 lb trailer, just be mindful of the amount...
