• Size of Threaded Fittings on Dexter Hydraulic Flex Hose # 18018-SF
  The male and female fittings on the Dexter Hydraulic Flex Hose, part # 18018-SF, are a size of 3/8 - 24 UNF. The male end is a 90 degree fitting. Normally the brake line tubing is 3/16-inch with 3/8-inch fittings on the ends. I do not have any fittings for a brake hose that will be 3/16-inch size.

  The Dexter Replacement Right-Hand Uni-Servo Wheel Cylinder Assembly for 7" Brakes part # 54-80-4 is a replacement for Dexter Hydraulic Trailer Brake Kit - Uni-Servo - 7" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies part # 23-398-399. The Demco Hydraulic Brake Hose with Fittings has 1/8" fittings so they would not be compatible with the Dexter brakes. For the Dexter brakes you will need Dexter Hydraulic Flex Hose part # 18018-SF with a 3/8" fitting.

• Flexible Brake Hose with Swivel Fittings on the Ends
  The ends of brake hose # T0776500 are fixed and do not swivel. Normally on the components you are threading this onto one of them would have a swivel so you would thread the hose onto the fixed component first and then attach the end that threads onto the swivel. We also have hose # 18018-SF with a 90 degree bend on one end and the thread piece separate. Kodiak hose # BH-3MFS-1-5 has swivel fittings on both ends and it is 18 inches long so it may be the best option for you.

  If you wanted an exact replacement for the hose you have we do have the part # 18018-SF available that would work well for you. That being said the part # BH-3MFS90FF-1-5 you referenced has the same fitting size on both ends of 3/8-24 so it would also work for you. It's also the same 18 inches in length.

• Comparing Dexter and Kodiak Hydraulic Brake Hose
  The main difference between the Dexter Hydraulic Flex Hose # 18018-SF and the Kodiak Hydraulic Brake Hose # bh-3mfs90ff-1-5 is the manufacturer. If you wanted a direct replacement for your boat trailer then you want the # 18018-SF. Otherwise, they are both 18" long and have the same fittings so the only other difference would be the price.

  I do have some options for you although we don't have a way to look up specific brake lines for any one particular trailer. That said, we typically use the Kodiak Hydraulic Brake Hose part # bh-3mfs90-1-5 to go from the brake caliper to the Kodiak Tee Fitting part # BH-T-3FIF on one side and the Kodiak Hydraulic Brake Hose part # bh-3mfs-6 on the other so you should be able to use this same setup on your trailer as well.   I recommend the Titan Hydraulic Brake Line with Fittings - 25" Long # T0980100 for a longer flexible hose. This is a 3/8 inch diameter versus a 1/4 inch, so if you were to use it with current 1/4 inch, you'd need an adapter. If you want the 90 degree fitting, you can go with the Kodiak Hydraulic Brake Hose - FIF and 90-Degree Male Fittings w/ Stainless Flares - 1.5' # BH-3MFS90FF-1-5 or the Hydraulic Flex Hose - 18" long # 18018-SF which are both only 18 inches.   Kodiak brake hose # BH-3MFS90FF-1-5 does not have that little clip you are referring to and Dexter hose # 18018-SF does have it. For either line I recommend bracket # T0776300. For clips I recommend # T0776400.
