This does work as a replacement for the Dexter 12-1/4 inch by five inch electric brake assemblies. The oval design increases the efficiency of the magnet while also extending the life of the magnet.Magnet came in new condition, well package and boxed with protection. Wires were too short for my application, but should be fine with a standard install. My install had conduit out the back of the drum to a junction box mounted to the frame in between the two axles. So I had to heat shrink wrap another foot of wire. No big deal. Works great. Brakes like it should.
Exact fit, and works as intended haven't had any issues and I have been running these replacements for a couple of months now.
