Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this replacement master cylinder assembly for the Dexter disc brake actuators. Now this part will replace the master cylinder on your Dexter disc brake actuator. It is designed to fit most Dexter disc brake actuators in the following series: the A60, the A75, the A84, the A160, the A20, XR84, and the XR200. Now this master cylinder only work on disc brake actuators, this is not for drum brake actuators, and the reason is disc brakes require 1500 PSI brake line pressure, whereas drum brakes only use a 1000 PSI pressure.This is a durable aluminum construction rather than plastic or steel, it gives you increased strength and corrosion resistance, and this is a sealed master cylinder reservoir diaphragm barrier, which will inhibit moisture from contaminating brake fluid and corroding brake components. Brake fluid cannot escape from the reservoir and damage your trailer's paint.
If you notice the cap on this, this is a nice recess cap to prevent any damage and if you just pry it up to remove it, and you can see actually on the bottom of the cap there is a small dipstick that'll let you easily check the fluid level. This does include the electric reverse lockout solenoid right here in the back, it has the two wires. The wires do need to be connected. The white wire goes to ground and the blue wire connects to your reverse light circuit.But that should do it for review on this replacement master cylinder assembly for the Dexter disc brake actuators.
