Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexter Eco disc brake assembly with the 12 and a quarter inch rotor with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern for 8,000 pound axles. This brake assembly with fit 8,000 pound axles with 16 inch, 16 and a half inch, or 17 inch wheels and the assembly can be mounted on either side of your trailer. The kit will include everything shown here, the E-coated rotor; the E-coated duck tower and caliber with the mounting hardware; two semi-metallic brake pads; the E-coated caliber mounting bracket with bolts and nuts all included; and it includes some thread sealant to put on all the bolt threads when you install everything. All the rust and the installation hardware is included, and a nice set of detailed installation instructions. This trailer brake assembly will work with a disc brake hub that we do sell separate on our website to upgrade from drum brakes to disc brakes for better performance on your trailer. Disc brakes will give you more consistent stopping, even on highway streets, dramatically shorter stopping distances, and they're a lot easier and less expensive to maintain. All these parts have a nice E-coat finish on them to provide corrosion resistance for freshwater and limited saltwater use.
The rotor itself is a vented rotor design to help dissipate heat. This will help regulate temperature to prevent overheating of the rotor. The caliber is a self adjusting caliber and ensures maximum surface contact for nice, smooth, equal braking. The pads they use are a semi-metallic brake pad to help resist heat and provide excellent grip. And the mounting bracket, right over here, is a duck tower iron mounting bracket, and it's to provide the strength and durability. It does require hydraulic brake actuator and brake lines for these brakes to be activated.
We do sell them separately on our website. Disc brakes will require a psi rating of at least 1,600 psi. These parts are made in the USA. Again, the specs on this: it's designed to fit an 8,000 pound axle. It has the wheel size of 16 inch, 16 and a half inch, and 17 inch.
Again, this will work on either left hand driver side or right hand passenger side. The bolt pattern on this rotor is eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. The diameter of the rotor is 12 and a quarter inches, and on the brake, the inaudible 00:02:13 configuration does use a four bolt design brake inaudible 00:02:17 configuration. That should do it for our overview on the Dexter Eco disc brake assembly, 12 and a quarter inch rotor with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern for 8,000 pound axle.
