Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the replacement brake shoes and linings for left-hand side Dexter Nev-R-Adjust 12" by 2" electric brake assembly. Now this part will replace the brake shoes and the lining for your 12" by 2" Nev-R-Adjust electric brake assembly. It fits the part number 23-464, which is the brake assembly. We do sell that separately on our website and that brake assembly is designed to fit 7,000 pound axles.
Now these shoes are for the left-hand side brake shoe assembly and the way you can tell that, the left side would be the driver's side. You need to look at the size of the pad on the brake shoes. If you notice this pad here is a shorter pad. This pad here is a lot longer pad. The shorter pad is your primary shoe.
The longer pad is your secondary shoe. The primary shoe, when this is installed, will always face the front of the trailer. So it's going to go in like that. So that'll tell you that this is for the driver's side assembly.Also, a way you can tell this is for the self-adjusting brakes, you can see it has this wheel on here and that's where the self-adjusting cable will go around this wheel and connect to the brake adjustment wheel at the bottom. Now, this does also include the two shoe hold down springs and pins.
But that should do it for the review on the replacement brake shoe and lining for the left-hand side Dexter Nev-R-Adjust 12" by 2" electric brake assembly.
