Note: This replacement motor is designed for use in Dometic FanTastic roof vents with 17-rpm motors manufactured in 2014 or after. If your fan is of a lower rpm or manufactured before 2014, this motor will still work, but you will need to cross the wires. For example, instead of red to red and black to black, you will need to connect the red wire to the black wire and the the black wire to the red wire.

Now, if you're needing to replace a damaged 17 rpm auto-lift motor in your Fan-Tastic Vent B Series roof vent with a powered lift arm, then this just might be what you need. This replacement motor is designed for use in the Fan-Tastic Vent roof vents with a 17 rpm motor manufactured in 2014 or after. Now, if your fan is of a lower rpm or if it's manufactured before 2014, I have good news for you.
This will still work but you will need to cross the wires. For example, instead of the red wire, let me get you in frame here. Instead of the red to red and black to black, you would just need to connect the red wire to the black wire and the black wire to the red wire. And as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, this is off-white in color. And you are going to get everything that you see here along with the mounting screws for your installation.

I have purchased two of these parts, and although I was unsure at the time, if they would be direct replacements for the broken original part, but they work just fine and have continued to work well. I am very satisfied with the service I received, and the quality of the product.
Part arrived quickly and worked perfectly in our Airstream. Information provided on the etrailer web site was very helpful to ensure we ordered the correct item. Thank you!
Part was just what the doctor ordered and replacement was simple: pull the old part (with a plastic gear) and plug in the new part. New part works like a charm and I don't expect it to fall apart anytime soon.
This replacement motor was a perfect fit for my RV, howver, I am giving it only 4 stars because unlike my original unit, this one does not allow the shaft to be disengaged for manual operation if needed, which brings into question; why is there a manual twist knob on it if the unit can't be switched to manual operation
I received my power lifts in the mail yesterday and I installed them today and everything worked out okay I appreciate your help and thanks again I will give you a five star

I'm glad to see this part is upgraded with what looks to be a better quieter motor.
This fixed the problem, however I had to grind down the ends of the handle so it wouldn't rub the molding in my coach.

The motor was easy to replace and works perfectly
I purchased this motor to replace one that was jammed by rust. When the original motor failed, it rendered the bathroom vent useless mid trip.
A usual with etrailer, the motor is an exact match for the part that failed. It arrived quickly and was extremely easy to install. The vent operates normally now, much to our relief.
I will definitely continue to use and recommend etrailer.

Bought this to replace OEM motor because 12 y/o plastic mounting tab broke off requiring us to push up on housing and hold to engage motor shaft to vent lid whenever we wanted to start or stop the fan. The 7 RPM motor was still good but painfully slow. This 17 RPM motor is much faster.
Contrary to some previous reviews the red and black wires did not have to be reversed. Also, the shaft cannot be disengaged by pulling down on the handle.
Easy ordering and received item on time. Would order from etrailer again.
Bought it to replace a FVK6010-81. Website said it would replace it if when you install it cross the wires. Install as director and worked perfect. Thanks etrailer
It works perfectly in my 2006 Newmar Essex 4508 Coach. It was easy to install. My order lift motor was a lower rpm the new one was 17 rpm and it opens faster. I’m very happy with this lift motor and etrailer did an outstanding job.

I received a message from etrailer after my order pointing out due to no stock on this item it will take 2 weeks to receive. They suggested changing white color to off white and I would receive in 3 days. I was elated to take them up on their offer especially because off white is the color I actually needed, I had ordered wrong. I installed in 5 minutes and it works perfectly. Thanks

I did reach out to the manufacturer and it depends on the model number of the fan as to whether it can be switched to a manual operation. The lift motor is a replacement for more than one model. The knob is going to be difficult to turn, even if the fan has a manual mode.
