Note: This replacement motor is designed for use in Dometic Fan-astic roof vents with 17-rpm motors manufactured in 2014 or after. Now, if you are needing to replace a damaged 17 rpm auto-lift motor in your Fan-Tastic Vent B Series roof vent with a powered lift arm, then this is the motor that you are going to need. This replacement auto-lift motor is designed for use in Fan-Tastic Vent roof vents with a 17 rpm motor manufactured in 2014 or after. Now, if your fan is of a lower rpm or manufactured before 2014, this motor will still work but you will need to cross the wires.
For example, instead of red to red and black to black, you will need to connect the red wire to the black wire and then the black wire to the red wire. Use this 17-rpm auto-lift motor to replace the damaged one in a Dometic FanTastic B Series roof vent with a powered lift arm.As always, etrailer has been an excellent company to do business. Haven’t installed the item ordered yet, but I’m happy with the quick delivery & easy online purchase.
Replaced the original which had stripped coupling. Operates in the power mode okay but doesn't have the option for manual mode that was on the original motor. I liked the manual mode in winter to be able to open it slightly to allow venting without the fan and not allowing rain in.

Still working fine.
The lift motors have been received and installed on our 5th wheel trailer and are working well. However the shipping container was in bad shape when delivered by UPS. Each was was individual packed in a box and then they both were in one shipping box. That box was in the worst shape I had ever seen. In fact before we opened it we went to the UPS Distribution Center in Sparks NV so they could see it and open it with us in case there was product damage. No product damage was found.
I finally found a replacement motor for my Fantastic Fan. The last one I purchased was too short to properly connect to the gear that raised the cover. I had to manually push on the motor to open the cover, which was a pain in the neck.

Still working great!
The part was a perfect replacement for the oem lift motor. E Trailer's price was the cheapest I found, shipping cost was reasonable (lower than competitors) and I received it promptly as advertised.
Fast shipping and part worked well. I would definitely use them again as it came boxes well and worked as it should.
When faced with a failed motor, the number on the motor, 6010-05, is the part we care about. When I was looking, the motor alone was not an option; I could not buy a 6010-05. This "6010-81" contains the proper 6010-05 motor. It solved the problem. Once you get the new one, take the old one, wail on the failed spindle with a ball peen hammer, and then press fit the aluminum sleeve back onto the once failed device. Voila! You have a new motor and a back up when the poop-show aluminum sleeve fails again.
My old motor worked with the wall switch. This one I have to switch manually

Ordered two , came pretty quick . Installed on roof vent /fan. Worked great.
The parts came quickly and it was an easy replacement.
Purchased this unit and installed reversing wiring as suggested as mine is an older motorhome (2005 ). Would only close ,not open . Tried wiring correctly with same results . Reinstalled old motor. Worked perfectly . Makes for an expensive plastic holder ,as that was the only part needed .

Ed, I am sorry that the replacement motor is not working for you. Typically reversing the wiring for the older motorhomes will do the trick. I would like to ask if you know which model of fan do you have?

So thankful there was a replacement to the original motor. They even told us how to wire it
fits perfect, works great and easy to i nstall.
The spline drive shaft always strips out. Since the drive shaft is press fitted onto the motor a new motor has to be purchased. If the shaft could be replaced the $70 motor would be saved. A $2.00 replaceable drive shaft would be preferable. I had to purchase 3 motors so far for my coach. Ridiculous!

Working as it should. I was reading reviews on this unit that said to reverse polarity on other sites. No need for that. This is ove course bit faster than the 8 rpm I replaced but the fit is exact. No problem. I'll buy again if the need arises. Nice people to work with and fast shipping.
I didn't think I would be able to find or get NEW lift motors for my rather ancient roof vents, but etrailer had them, provided instructions on how to wire them to operate at the slower speed my vents require, and shipped them to me in just a few days. etrailer is awesome!
The part did not work well. It did not run smoothly. I often wonder when it will die. I had to use it because my old one did not work at all otherwise I I would have returned it. I even ordered a new arm thinking that it would help but no luck.

Man - even after a new motor its still doing this! Lets see if we cant help you figure out whats causing it to act this way. First things first, do you know what model of FanTastic vent you have?
Worked perfectly. I believe in the video they say if replacing a 8rpm to this new motor to cross wire colors but that wasn’t necessary just black to black red to red. Working great!!
Used this unit to replace my damaged motor in my 2005 Fantastic fan. Delivery was quick and was a direct plug and play. Other customers stated the wiring had to be reversed but mine did not. It has been a year and the fan is working perfectly.
My rating is an expectation based on past experience. The product is from FanTastic, and their reputation is already very established. I am expecting the upgrade kit to be a good purchase and welcome addition. The "FIVE" star rating is for etrailer and their service. We've purchased from them in the past, and have never been unhappy. This upgrade kit was delivered several days in advance of my expectations. Thank you, etrailer!
