Note: This replacement motor is designed for use in Dometic Fan-astic roof vents with 17-rpm motors manufactured in 2014 or after. If your fan is of a lower rpm or manufactured before 2014, this motor will still work, but you will need to cross the wires. Now, if you are needing to replace a damaged 17 rpm auto-lift motor in your Fan-Tastic Vent B Series roof vent with a powered lift arm, then this is the motor that you are going to need. This replacement auto-lift motor is designed for use in Fan-Tastic Vent roof vents with a 17 rpm motor manufactured in 2014 or after. Now, if your fan is of a lower rpm or manufactured before 2014, this motor will still work but you will need to cross the wires.
For example, instead of red to red and black to black, you will need to connect the red wire to the black wire and then the black wire to the red wire. Use this 17-rpm auto-lift motor to replace the damaged one in a Dometic FanTastic B Series roof vent with a powered lift arm.I didn't think I would be able to find or get NEW lift motors for my rather ancient roof vents, but etrailer had them, provided instructions on how to wire them to operate at the slower speed my vents require, and shipped them to me in just a few days. etrailer is awesome!
The good news is this fixed my issue of the fan lid not working. The bad news is this crappy part should have never failed in the first place. The motor on the original failed part was fine. The sleeve that connects to the lift mechanism is what failed. The motor shaft just turned but the sleeve did not
Used this unit to replace my damaged motor in my 2005 Fantastic fan. Delivery was quick and was a direct plug and play. Other customers stated the wiring had to be reversed but mine did not. It has been a year and the fan is working perfectly.
My rating is an expectation based on past experience. The product is from FanTastic, and their reputation is already very established. I am expecting the upgrade kit to be a good purchase and welcome addition. The "FIVE" star rating is for etrailer and their service. We've purchased from them in the past, and have never been unhappy. This upgrade kit was delivered several days in advance of my expectations. Thank you, etrailer!
It's a nice hefty piece Very durable. The motor is big and fast. The only issue I had were the wires. I had to adjust them to the sides of the motor to fit in the location & the connectors had to be changed for bigger ones but other than that it works great
This part was almost perfect fit. Installed into Fantastic fan and is now functional.
Replaced the original which had stripped coupling. Operates in the power mode okay but doesn't have the option for manual mode that was on the original motor. I liked the manual mode in winter to be able to open it slightly to allow venting without the fan and not allowing rain in.

Great. Its been a year and there have been no issues -t is still working as it should. The wires were long enough. All around a good quality part.
Never in my wildest mind did I think we would find this item. Thanks to the expert work of Kelly P she found the correct part needed a fantastic fan replacement motor. And I kid you not, I placed the order and it seemed like there was a knock on the door with our order. BTW we live clear across the US. Special thanks Kelly P and etrailer you all rock our world. I finally found a replacement motor for my Fantastic Fan. The last one I purchased was too short to properly connect to the gear that raised the cover. I had to manually push on the motor to open the cover, which was a pain in the neck.
Real quick plug and play connections, takes about 1 minute to replace
It arrived very quickly. I will install it tomorrow. Looking forward to having it working again.

Yes, still working strong. Great replacement product.
Had to settle for parts and pieces after they kept extending the shipping date because of nonavailability after shipping date had been passed. Had same problem last summer with an air conditioner. Available in June then pushed out till August before actually shipped.
George J let me know that part was out of stock and when they expected it back in. He let me know that he had them and that it shipped. He included tracking info and when I should receive it. All is good.
Easy install, just plug and play. Works great.
Does work differently from OEM but it works great for me.
They had the part I needed which was hard to find. The part shipped earlier than they estimated and arrived when they said it would. Hard to beat that combination of customer service. I have used them before with the same results.
This replacement motor fit perfectly and with eTrailers guidance to reverse the wires for my older fantastic vent in a 2003 Gulfstream, it works perfectly as well. Thank You eTrailer
