Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the replacement lift arm for Fantastic Vent Roof Vents. And this is just going to replace the lift arm for your Fantastic Roof Vent. And basically this component, just as the name suggests, lifts that vent up or down. So as that little catch on the bottom turns, it lowers the vent, and then raises it back up.
Does come pre-lubed, so there's some grease inside there to help that move smoothly, and also help prevent any kind of rusting and corrosion inside those gears.We do have the mounting hardware to get this installed onto our vent. So it's a pretty easy way to replace that one component if everything else is working properly. And I will say, if you have any other issues with your roof vent, like the cover is cracked or maybe the motor's bad, or something else as an issue, it might be a good idea to just invest in a whole new system. But if everything is working properly, and it's just the lift arm that got damaged somewhere along the way, this is going to get you back out on the road and operating that fan or that roof vent easily. I'm going to give you some measurements just for reference to make sure that this is going to be the right one for you.So the distance between those mounting holes, center to center is about three inches, right on.
And then the distance for that lift arm itself from that little pivot point on the end, to where it attaches in, and that pivot point at the bottom, it's about six and a quarter inches long. So that might give you an idea if this is going to be the right one for you. The depth of this component here is going to be about an inch and three quarters. Or an inch and three quarters from there to there. That's going to do it for our look at the replacement lift arm for the Fantastic Vent Roof Vent..

please keep in mind this fan-tastic vent is designed for light duty not living in a motorhome fulltime.

Replacement control lift arm for roof vent. The old nylon wheel had deteriorated and this arm will now allow raising the hand operated roof vent both up and down. Thank you.

Perfect fit her your video that was available for viewing. Received my products in a timely manner. Fair prici g. Existing lift arms were worn-out the crank handle no longer would lift the vent lid. The wheel on the end of the lift arm was on the wrong side. The part doesn’t fit my manual operated Fantastic Fan. I had to drill out the stud holding the wheel, move it to the other side, and reattach with a nut and bolt. What should have been a 15 minute replacement job took nearly 2 hours. In the end I got it to work. Pay close attention to which side the wheel is on on your particular unit. I did not and paid for it.

This replacement lift arm, was to replace the broken unit in our RV's Fan-Tastic roof vent, located in the bath. First I want to say, the unit in our bath is not the heavy duty unit with electric motor that drives the lift arm, but rather the lighter duty manual version. I ordered this arm because it is of better quality than the one that originally came in the vent. It should be noted that the little wheel at the end of the arm is on the wrong side for the manual vent, but it installed easily and the vent functions as it should. I am very happy with the function and construction of this new lift arm assembly.
