What this is gonna do is for the EcoHitch, when you remove that receiver tube, this is gonna go in place of that to give you a nice clean look, and maintain the aerodynamics of the vehicle. It's also gonna have a rubber seal, that's gonna seal to keep dirt and debris from getting up inside of your receiver tube. Now how this stays on, it's magnetic. There's a large magnet here. It's gonna slide up inside the receiver tube to hold it in place. It's gonna be an aluminum construction with a black powder coat finish.

It's gonna resist any rust or corrosion. It's gonna come with all the necessary hardware. This cut out here is gonna face the front of the vehicle. This arrow's gonna face the driver side. Magnet is gonna slide up on the passenger side inside of the receiver tube here, just like that, and slide it into place. When you're ready to add your receiver, simply pull it out, add your receiver, and then your bolt, and you're ready to go.Once you put your receiver back in place, the bolt that you put in, you wanna make sure that you torque that to the specifications on the instructions. You're gonna need to do that anytime you take it out and put it back in, or reinstall it.That'll do it for a look at and installation on the EcoHitch undercover access hole cover for EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 306-XA2002, on our 2018 Tesla Model 3..

An indispensable item for those who get a tow hitch installed on the Tesla Model3. However I give it 3 stars because somehow sand still gets through. I even taped the hole with black electric tape, shaping it like the rubber edge to seal the gap, but to no avail. Not sure what's going on, but not a deal breaker since the cover does help a lot.

by:

If you have a 2018 Model 3, you can use this to cover the hole. If you have 2019-after, I believe you already have a removable cover under the car.

by:

It keeps the hitch area perfectly clean. BTW great hitch for my Tesla Model 3.

by:

Works great and stays on with no movement for the last year of highway and rough road driving.

by:

Works as advertised. be sure to follow the directions for assembly and installation.

by:

It fit 2016 tesla model s too. Just a little tweak it will fit right under the bumper.

by:

The cover installs easily and does a great job covering the hole.

  • Best Trailer Hitch for Bike Rack on a 2019 Tesla Model 3
The best trailer hitch for a 2019 Tesla Model 3 is the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver part # EH84GR. The EcoHitch installs completely behind the rear bumper so you will not even be able to tell a trailer hitch is even installed while the receiver tube is removed. This actually brings me to the removable receiver tube which is a feature specific to the EcoHitch and allows for a 100% factory like appearance. Please note, you will need to remove the rear bumper for installation but...

  • What Can I Do To Cover The Hole In The Lower Fascia Of My 2022 Tesla Model 3 With Stealth Hitch
Yes, that is definitely something that can be covered. The Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver - Custom Fit - 2", part # 391TES317, you installed on your 2022 Tesla Model 3, leaves a hole in your vehicle's lower fascia after installation. This can be taken care of with the Undercover Access Hole Cover for EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 306-XA2002. This attaches to your Stealth Hitch via a magnet. It comes equipped seals to keep this cover in place. I have included product...

  • Is 2023 Tesla Model 3 TorkLift Wiring The Same as ZCI Wiring Kit
From what I'm seeing it does look like the TorkLift TY2020 wiring kit is the same as our ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. The ZCI kit is excellent for your 2023 Tesla Model 3 because you aren't getting into the vehicle wiring and cutting it up - just putting clamps over it. If you're planning on installing the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH84GR then I also recommend picking up the following so you have a clean-looking setup: - Undercover Access...

  • What is Weight of EcoHitch for 2018 Tesla Model 3 and Access Hole Cover to Preserver Aerodynamics
The weight of the EcoHitch part # EH84GR which fits your 2018 Tesla Model 3 is 45 lbs. When not in use you could use the access hole cover part # 306-XA2002 which would totally cover up the hole and would give you same aerodynamics as before the hitch was installed.

  • Recommendation for a Concealed Trailer Hitch on a 2021 Tesla Model 3
We have exactly what you are looking for, two options, each from Stealth Hitch. The first option is the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver, # 391TES317. This fits a 2" hitch and is a completely hidden hitch that keeps your Tesla Model 3 looking just like it was when built, no "ugly" hitch sticking out the back. You can easily remove the receiver portion of the hitch separating it from the concealed crosstube that remains hidden. This will provide you with a 2" x 2" receiver opening...

  • Does Installing EcoHitch Trailer Hitch on 2022 Tesla Model 3 Void Any Warranty
That is a good question, but no warranty on your 2022 Tesla Model 3 will be voided by installing the EcoHitch that fits your vehicle, which is the following part number: - EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH84GR The reason for that is you are protected by what is called the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act, which says if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever you have added to your vehicle...

  • Required Fascia Cutting When Installing EcoHitch Trailer Hitch on 2019 Tesla Model 3
The installation instructions for the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH84GR call for either a 3-1/2 inch or 4 inch hole saw. The advantage for the larger 4 inch hole is just more hand clearance to allow for easier mounting when inserting the receiver. I honestly just recommend going with the smallest possible hole (3-1/2 inches) as I'm sure you aren't overly enthused to cut into your Tesla's bumper fascia. HOWEVER, we have found that cutting is only needed on models before 2019....

  • Can Hole Cut in 2020 Tesla Model 3 be Covered When Not In Use

For that you'd just need the part # 306-XA2002. I attached a picture of what it looks like installed for you to check out as well. I attached an install video for the hitch and a review video for the cover for you to check out as well.

  • Best Way to Carry a Bike Rack on a 2020 Tesla Model 3
A trailer hitch, the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH84GR, is definitely the best way to carry a bike rack on your 2020 Tesla Model 3 because it is going to be the sturdiest, most secure way to carry any type of bike a rack can handle. The EcoHitch Stealth has a 2 inch receiver which is completely removable so if you want to make it look like you don't even have a hitch on when you aren't carrying your bike rack, you can just remove the receiver and pop on the Undercover Access...

The dimensions of the Undercover Access Hole Cover for EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-XA2002 that you referenced is 8-1/2" long by 5-1/16" wide by 1/8" thick. Your hole being initially cut with a 4 inch hole saw would not be too large to work with this.

  • 2021 Tesla Model 3 Concerns with Corrosion After Install of EcoHitch Stealth Receiver
Yes, this has come up several times as it is a valid concern because installing the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7373 does indeed require cutting. There is a 3-1/2" or 4" oval cut on the underbody trim to allow clearance for the removable 2" drop-down receiver and this opening to the elements causes concerns. But there is the availability of the Undercover Access Hole Cover # 306-XA2002. This is specifically designed to slide into the hitch when the receiver is removed...

  • Installing EcoHitch Stealth Receiver # EH84GR on 2018 Tesla Model 3
I see exactly what you are referring to with regards to the plates that need to be removed on the Tesla Model 3 when installing the EcoHitch # EH84GR. There is no need to worry though about rust or corrosion in that area because the mounting brackets for the hitch will essentially be taking their place. Using the included nylon washers and bolts the hitch brackets will create a tight seal at that location to prevent anything from creeping in between them and the frame. Once the hitch is...

  • Installing EcoHitch Stealth Receiver on 2020 Tesla Model 3 and Concerns with Vehicle Rust
That is a great question. Installing the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH84GR does indeed require that a 3-1/2" or 4" oval be cut on the underbody trim to allow clearance for the 2" drop-down receiver on 2018 models and older. The 2019 models and newer have a cut out already so no trimming is necessary.
