Today we'll be taking a look at and reviewing the Erickson Chrome Protector Sleeve, for tie-down straps, part number EM06305, also available in a two-pack, part number EM06305-2. Here we have our Erickson 12-inch chrome protector in place. It's going to fit up to one and two inch webbed straps. It's going to be made of 100% polyester, simulated ship skin. It's going to wrap around your bar, holding it secure, and protecting it against getting any kind of scuff, especially if you have chrome handle bars on your motorcycle. It's super easy to put in place, and we can show you how to do that. Take the buckle of your strap, stick it into one end, and then we'll just let the weight do the work on pulling the strap through. Just guide it and drop the strap down until it falls out of the other side.
When you first get them, they're' going to be a little bit stiff. So you might need to work with them a little bit. Go ahead and pull it through, wrap the strap around your bar, bringing it through just like so, folded in half around your bar. Now, with it tightened down, you can see that's going to be real sturdy and it's going to hold your bike in place, protecting it from getting any kind of scuffs or scratches. Now we're ready to hit the road and see how well it works against any kind of twisting or turning. I used these where my transom straps touched my boat when on trailer. They worked well but after a year they have dried up and falling apart. They are no longer useful and ready for the garbage. I will not order again.

Just what I needed. Worked out great. I used them over straps to protect the custom wheels on my car when on my tow dolly. I had to use straps thru the wheel in lieu of chains to the chassis.
Shipping was quick as well.

I donated my boat to a museum in N.H. I drove the boat 1400 miles and the sleeves protected the mahogany gunnels. There wasn’t any marring of the finish.
