Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the door latch for your Everchill, 12 volt RV fridge. This is going to mount between your RV fridge's freezer door and refrigerator door so that when you're traveling, you're not going to have to worry about those doors swinging open and all your food falling out, or there being a leak so that the cold air is coming out and not keeping your food cold. This will turn to the side when you're wanting to use those doors and allow them to open up. But when you want to travel, you can swing that forward and those doors will not have room to open up.Now, there is a three and three eighths inch distance between our mounting bracket and our rubber stopper here.
And that seems like a lot when we don't have the refrigerator door to compare it to. But once we have this mounted, the door is going to stick out probably to about here. So it's really not going to have much room to open up, and then we can turn it to the side so that our door will still function. This is a metal bracket with rubber cushions here on the upright portions. You will need to purchase some hardware to get this installed.
You'll screw the bracket into your fridge. Those screws are not included, but these holes are a one, sorry, three 16th inch diameter. The bracket itself is two and five eights of an inch long by seven, eight, seven inch wide. Our mounting holes are one in five, eight inch from center to center horizontally.Overall height is going to be right about four inches. It's just a little bit under that.
About three and 15 16th of an inch tall. And our total distant from our mounting point is going to be three and seven eighths of an inch. As you can see, this is black. So it's going to blend in well with the fridge. You're not going to really notice it when it's pulled off to the side and it's going to do a good job of holding our refrigerator doors closed while we're traveling, so we're not going to have to worry about our food, getting warm or anything like that.
That's going to complete our look at the door latch for our Everchill, 12 volt RV fridge..

It work and looks good. Only one hole lined up. I ended up drilling another hole for it. Very happy with the product and shipping was fast.
Swapped out my old Atwater RV Refer for a Hot Point 10.5 CF apt style. This was the closest catch I could find. Turns out the screw holes are too wide and there is not enough room on the latch to drill a new one. Turns out it works fine with just one screw. I may use some doubled sided tape if it loosens. No more food on the floor!!
had to elongate mounting holes to accommodate the existing mounting holes on fridge. works as expected , thanks

worked fine on my Furrion 10 Cu.Ft. 12 Volt fridge. I needed to move it right to the edge and line it up perfectly so that it would not interfere
with a couple of screws on the door.

Great little accessory you need to have. It took less than 3 minutes to install. I needed a self piercing screw for my second hole, as the distance between the the two holes was not the same in my case. I also needed to shift the latch mor to the side of the fridge as the shaft was not able to go in front if using the pre-drilled holes of the fridge (see pictures).
The fridge I am using the latch with is a house RCA 7,5 cubic feet. It's going in a cargo trailer conversion into a camper.

After a year, I have no complain. There is not much tension applied to this accessory and it is well constructed. Should last forever.
This has and is still working well on keeping our RV fridge closed during travel on rough highways.
The latch is pretty flimsy for the price but it will do the job. Ours was already bent upon receipt but we were leaving so we had to use it and couldn’t return it.
This was the perfect replacement for the screw in latch on our Furrion fridge in our Brinkley RV.
Works great, using it on a GE RV fridge.
Works great to secure the doors on our Furrion 12 volt rv fridge. No more worries that the doors might pop open on bumpy roads.
The latch had to be customized for my Furrion refrigerator by drilling two holes in my refrigerator and using sheet metal screws with washers to adjust the depth of the latch. It works like I wanted it to so Im happy with the installation. Thanks.
Used it to secure my Furrion RV fridge / freezer. It is a perfect fit looks like a factory install.
Easy to install, seems like it will work perfectly. Keeps it locked for travel and open for airing out.
It would have been nice if it had an illustration or instructions as to what way to install it. I first installed it upside down which caused interference with a nut hanging down from the freezer door.
DID NOT WORK. HANDLE (STEM WAS TOO SHORT). COST TO RETURN WAS 60% THE COST OF THE ORIGINAL ITEM. EXPENSIVE LESSON.
Works well on our residential refrigerator in our every, even though the mounting holes needed adjustment
I finally received my refrigerator door latch for my RV today after ordering it in September of 2021. I am disappointed that it is a USED part at a NEW price after such a long wait. It is obvious it had been previously installed on someone else’s refrigerator (note the screw damage in attached picture).

The hardest part of this chore was locating my small socket set. it was a breeze changing the latch out after finding it.
Everything I’ve ever ordered from etrailer is shipped fast and exactly what I wanted. Just a solid company.
We put a residential mini-fridge in our RV. We needed a latch to keep it closed while traveling. Every latch we looked at said "not for mini-fridge." This is perfect! It was very easy to install as the fridge already had 2 holes and screws at the location used. One had to be covered and a new one drilled. The latch didn't come with screws but we used the 2 in the fridge. Perfect for this need!
Etrailer is the best!! Their customer service is incredible and they carry all those strange things (like this unique to rving) fridge door lock.
Not sure how long the friction part of the hinge is going to last it was very difficult to move I had to spray some WD-40 on it to get it to move without bending it
Very easy to install, took a little modification due to how the refrigerator was installed but no problems at all.

The latch is awesome. Not had one problem with door coming open during travel. No more spilled eggs on the floor. I highly recommend this product. Youll be glad you did.
