The hinge that it sounds like you are referring to is the hinge that is closest to your tailgate. That hinge is the part # EX1033.

Theres the problem. This hinge is for the cab-side which is closest to the cab...the one closest to the tailgate is item # EX1033.

It is great so glad that you all had it available.

Shipping was quick, I thought the visual tracking is a nice touch and I like that it was shipped using a single shipper. None of this have one company transport it part of the way and another company transport it the rest of way.

Replacement was easy, took maybe 5 minutes. It did seem to be a tiny bit longer than the original, though the fabric on the cover could have shrank while the old hinge was broke. After replacement of the hinge the cover didn't lie flat, it had a slight upward curve that did flatten out once it was latched down. I haven't unlatched it yet to see if it lies flat now, and it doesn't look like it's negatively effecting the cover fabric.851856
