Removing Old Latch to Install Extang Replacement Rear Latch Assembly # EX1073
I spoke with my contact at Extang regarding the Replacement Rear Latch Assembly # EX1073 that you referenced. She stated that there is a single screw on the underside of the latch that needs to be removed. You may need to take off the rail in order to access the screw, but once removed, the latch should simply slide out from the assembly. I have attached an image of the latch assembly that you might also find helpful.

For your Extang Express tonneau cover, you'll need the Replacement Rear Latch Assembly for Extang Express Soft Tonneau Cover # EX1073. When you go to reinstall this part make your tension adjustment via the adjustment nut shown in the image below.
