Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement fan motor assembly kit for Fantastic Vent Roof Vent Fans. This is going to replace that original vent fan that came with your Fantastic Vent Roof Fan. It's going to have al the same specs as that. It does have the motor already attached with the bowtie bracket on the back. You'll just need to secure that in place on your vent with the screws that came with your kit. There is no hardware that comes with this, so you will have to replace either with the original hardware or pick up some on your own.Has the two wires for your power and ground hookup.
They already come with butt connectors on them, so that's one last step you have to do. This does have to be connected to 12 volt power. As far as the measurements for this fan, from the mounting hole on either side of the bowtie bracket, center on center, that's going to be 11 and a 16th inches from the height of the mounting holes themselves, that's going to be five and 5/16th inches. From the inside edge to inside edge of that bracket, that's going to be 12 and 5/8ths. You can see a little bit better if I hold it in front maybe.
The fan diameter itself, that is going to be 11 and 3/8ths, so that gives you an idea of what that should bit, but it will work with the Fantastic Vent Roof Vans. You can check those part numbers out on our website. This will be a direct replacement from Fantastic Fans, so it should work out well. That's going to do it for our look at the replacement fan motor assembly kit for Fantastic Vent Roof Fans.

Replaces the bow-tie bracket, motor, and blade for your Fan-Tastic Vent roof vent fan (FV800800, FV801200, FV801250, FV802250, FV803350, or FV807350).I replaced the original fan in the galley of my 1999 motorhome with this. It was slightly smaller, maybe 1/2 inch, but that's not a big problem for my application. I did have to reverse the wires after discovering it was turning the wrong direction.
Was able to install into original 1967 vent, by making a mount with some aluminum angle. Quality original fantastic fan part
Unit arrived sooner than promised. Installation very easy and done from the top. I removed the large vent cover (7/16" socket) then the four screws on the bow-tie. The old unit lifted out but I had to loosen the black (white) lead on the "vent closed" cutoff switch and move it out of the way. The new unit dropped in, bow-tie holes matched perfectly and after putting in the screws, I cut the wires and used the crimp connectors on the new fan to connect to the fixture wiring. I used cable ties to fasten the leads to the bow-tie arms and to gather excess wiring to keep it out of the way. Tools needed: 7/16" socket to remove and install the hood, #2 phillips screwdriver, wire cutter, knife to trim wire, and plier to crimp connector. See pictures. Fan motor does make a different sound than the original but it works and the old one didn't. The fan itself is also about 1/2" less diameter but that doesn't seem to have made a difference in effectiveness.
Received correct part, installed easily, works perfectly. Thanx. Next, need to order new screen and vent cover.
Easy installation! The fan blade was about a half short in diameter but the bug screen covered it up. A manual didn't come with the shipment. However, Amy from customer service got me all of the information I needed to complete the install. Thanks again and I highly recommend this unit for a Fantastic RV vent fan replacement.
Easily installed using online instructions. A perfect fit to 8 year old roof fan assembly.
This is the original Atwood equipment, not a copy. I am using it to retrofit into the original vent on a 1967 Airstream Globetrotter. Attached photo is the fitment trial, it should be perfect. I have 1-1/2 inch aluminum angle to make mounting brackets to use the original holes in the Airstream and the fan. Will probably use a radiator mounting kit to install it on springs.
In a word, the fan is silent. It is a far cry from my old squeaky brush model. The fit to my unit is not quite perfect, so some very minor adjustment was required to install, that taking about 10 minutes. I love it when compared to the OEM model made by the same manufacturer which came with my Camper.
Super fast shipping and good communication. This fan is a little smaller replacement but still works great.
Not the same as the original but it fits perfectly. Easy to install.
Easy to install and still working after a year.
The fan is quite warped and about an inch smaller in diameter than the specs listed. So, it wobbles and whistles. Quite noisy for the kitchen/living room fan. Not impressed at all. You get what you pay for I suppose. Also- ETRAILER, for the love of pete! Package things better! A single sheet of bubble wrap and a flimsy flat box was what this fan came in and it was crushed. I was surprised the fan wasn't ruined. 3rd item I've ordered that came crushed and/or damaged due to poor packaging.
I received the fan kit in good and timely order. I did not have to wait long for the parts from etrailer to arrive. The replacement of the Fan-tastic fan went smoothly and quickly. No instructions needed. The fan fired right up and is operating. The original lifetime warranted fan-tastic motor was made in Canada and operated well for over 27 years. I am going to keep it, clean it up, and hope to get in running smoothly again. We will see how long the smaller, lighter, two year warranty fan holds up. The big company swallowed up the good company again.
This came super quick even though it was standard shipping. Works perfectly. Great replacement for my old tired fan motor that had gone caput. Much less expensive than getting a brand new unit. Not hard to replace at all if you have the right tools and can get up on your roof.
Staff was knowledgeable and very courteous they were understanding and patient as I described the part I needed shipping due date was accurate and on time I would recommend etrailer to everyone
Nice item, it works great! My old one had the fan blade brake where it screwed onto the motor. I did not know that when I ordered the fan motor assembly. I replaced the whole assembly since I had the whole assembly.
The Fantastic fan blade is a replacement, is great, whisper quiet!
Alomost perfect, the fan arrived well packaged and ot works realy well. The support bracket was not the right size, but that is probably my fault not ordering the right part. But I switched the brackets and it all works great. Thanks
My local dealer could not help me so I went online and found comments on etrailer regarding the fan I was looking for. I believe George responded to a customer with the part number of the fan. It seemed to be exactly what I was looking for so I ordered it. The fan arrived as expected in about 5 days and fit perfectly. Thanks for the great service.
The original Fantastic fan (Atwood 7350) always made a squeaky noise on the low speeds and got progressively worse over the years. Replace with this kit and vela, my wife couldn't tell the fan was running. Should have changed out years ago. It took about 1/2 hour to change since I had to do from roof of trailer but easy to do, remove 4 screws, take out old fan and install new assembly and 4 screws, cut and crimp 2 wires and zip tie in place.
I have a fantastic roof fan in my camper. It has been noisy from new. It makes a frowling noise which gets louder with speed. I finally got fed up with it and ordered this replacement. The motor is quite a bit deeper than original, but it comes with the support bracket and blade. Fits great and wow so much quieter. Faster too. Worth every penny. :-)
Easy installation. Would like to be able to buy just the motor without the mount and fan blade.
The bowtie bracket is smaller than original and not useable, I used my original one.The fan blade is approx 1 inch smaller than original and the casting is very poor, not balanced. The centre of the original fan blade is 1 mm smaller so it would not fit on the new motor. In order to use the original fan blade I machined 1 mm off the motor shaft and used the original blade. So basically I bought this kit just get a new motor which had to modify for it to work correctly. Wish I could of just bought the motor separately.
I have a 2004 Cardinal , This took a total of 30 to 45 minutes to replace. I’m 77 years young and 15 minutes of the time was getting up and off of the camper and getting comfortable. The fan replacement was great and runs just as quite as the original.
