Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this self-tapping screw. This is a one and a quarter inch long self-drilling screw. And you can see it does have an unslotted hex washer head here. This does have quarter inch, 14 by 30, or three quarter inch long threads.
And so this is gonna be great for grounding wires with a quarter inch diameter ring terminal. This does have a zinc coating for corrosion resistance, so it will hold up well for you. So if you are needing to replace, or add, a self-tapping screw, this is gonna be a great option for you. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.

Excellent product and fast service. Definitely will buy from them again for all my trailer needs.
Worked well on my boat trailer for mounting lights on metal frame. If you have never used self tapping metal screws the secret to making the process quick and easy is to drill a pilot hole just slightly smaller in diameter than the screw threads. If your drill bits are not the sharpest in the world another tip is to start with a smaller bit and then use successive larger bits until the hole is slightly smaller than the screw.
Did the job of installing new jacks.
Exactly what I needed to rewire a 20-year-old trailer that was starting to show it's age with inconsistent lighting performance and continuity issues. In addition to purchasing this lighting harness, I upgraded all my incandescent bulb side markers and taillights with LED units and complete rewired the trailer. etrailer had everything I needed in one place with excellent pricing and superb service. I was worried that the screws might of been lost as the box the order came in was really beat up. But nope they were there.
Used 8 of these screws to attach two scissor jacks onto my pop-up frame. These worked just as expected
Good for what it is, but note that these are too short to go through, say, tie-down racks then plywood sidewalls, and into the metal framing of a utility trailer. The picture does not really show the relative length of the threaded part and the drilling part for this length screw.
Worked as expected. Good solid quality. I did drill a small pilot hole in my trailer first to assist the speed of installation.
