Perfect! Original shank from a Fastway E2 kit. Recently upgraded tow vehicle to a ford f150 4x4.

The problem with the original shank: at its lowest setting, the ball height marked at 21", which was an inch higher than needed for level.

The new shank allows the top of the ball to sit at 20", which is the level mark for the top of my campers hitch coupler.

by:

Needed this shank for my Nissan Titan that has a suspension lift. Now my travel trailer is level. Can't thank etrailer enough for the fast delivery!

by:

Super solid and great coating. I had to buy this longer one to fit the Fastway e2 to a Ford Explorer.

by:

Product shipped extremely fast. It works perfectly as an addition to my Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch. My trailer now sits perfectly level when attached to my new truck.

by:

I recently put a 5” lift and 35s on my 2012 Dodge Ram 3500. I needed a drop shank for the camper. This was the perfect drop for my setup. Put everything together and pulled my camper from NC to PA with no problems. Ordered on Saturday with 3 day shipping and received Wednesday. Very happy with my purchase.

by:

This is a quality part. We use it with our 3/4 ton Ram along with our 27' travel trailer and I was able to get the trailer perfectly level when connected. It has very little slack in the receiver on the truck also because of the non-tapered design. It is very heavy though, so make sure to brace your back when taking it on and off!

by:

Outstanding customer service. Great productts.Would order again through ETraller!!!!

Great customer services, there was some question involving my address as billing and delivery are different. A customer service agent called within the 24 hours of ordering and confirmed my address at the box and quickly had my order on the way. In fact it arrived a day earlier, 100% satisfied customer here.

by:

Built like a tank. I am a full time RVer and this has stood up like a champ.

by:

Order was delivered four days ahead of schedule and was just what they advertised. Sales person was knowledgable of thre weight distribution system and helped me order the correct down shank my truck and trailer required. As usual a good experience.

Very happy with this product. No problems whatsoever.

My truck is lifted 12" between the larger tires and lift kit. Needed this longer shank in order to get my weight distribution hitch to level the RV I pull. Extremely heavy duty and built to last your lifetime. It won't disappoint and will handle any trailer you put behind it.

by:

I had originally ordered an Equalizer Hitch system for towing my R Pod with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It worked well enough, but I was always troubled by how much lower the back of the trailer sat. This shank gave me an additional two inches of drop, which leveled the trailer to where it needed to be. Hally at etrailer.com was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with selecting the proper shank. My order arrived within two days, and I was able to take advantage of free shipping, which helped given this item is solid steel and quite heavy. I highly recommend etrailer.com for all your towing needs!

Quality parts and fast servce

by:

Product works as advertised. The distribution shank that came with the "Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - Round - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW" worked fine for towing with a Ford Expedition.

When I bought a 3500 HD, the original distribution shank wasn't long enough due to the difference in height of the vehicles.

Swapping out the distribution shank was relatively easy. Simply follow the directions for setting and leveling the hitch.

by:

I have been using this for about a year now to pull my 32 ft RV. Works great on my truck 2015 ram with 6in lift and 35in tires. I even have 1 more drop adjustment left on the hitch if your truck is higher.

by:

It's perfect, gave me the 2"drop I needed and worked out great.also the best price

by:

Did the job. Easy to mount hitch on. A word of caution - don’t tighten the hitch mounting bolts till everything is completely adjusted. They are really hard to loosen and I had to get one of them off to adjust the spacing washers on the e2 weight distributing hitch.

by:

Ordered this product on Tuesday, it was picked the same day and shipped out. I had my trailer set up by Friday. Great price and great service! This shank was exactly what I needed to get down to the trailer's 18" ball height using the receiver which came with my 2016 F250 4x4. Quality is great just like that of the Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch I purchase earlier.

by:

Arrived on time and the item and package in perfect condition. Thanks for using UPS as they are the best.
The item is just as described and at a great price.
I would not hesitate to buy from you again.

by:

Great service and help with my order

by:

etrailer assisted me in finding the correct drop that I was looking for - arrived very quickly. I installed my sway hitch assembly on it and we are ready to roll! Excellent customer service - also saved me money and time on the shipping option!

by:

Shipped quick and packed well. Our new tow vehicle put the ball 3 1/2" above the coupler. Easily switched the stabilizer ball attachment of our e2 hitch and set the ball at the right heighth. All a perfect fit. Super sturdy. Heavy and well built.

  • Shank with 4 Inch Drop for Trunnion Weight Distribution System
So if the top of your receiver is 24 inches and the bottom of your coupler is 20 inches then you are correct, you do need a 4 inch drop. To get this, you will need to use the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Shank - 12" Long - 10-1/4" Rise, 5-1/2" Drop # FA92-02-4214.

  • Drop Shank For A Fast Way E2 Weight Distribution Hitch On A 2015 Chevy Traverse
A rule of thumb for us when talking about ground clearance is 13". If you are concerned about clearance I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Shank - 12" Long - 10-1/4" Rise, 5-1/2" Drop Item # FA92-02-4214. If your coupler is at 15-1/2", a 2015 Chevrolet traverse hitch height is around 18-1/2", this shank provides a 4" drop which should allow you to get your trailer level once set up with the weight distribution.

  • How to Determine Which Fastway Weight Distribution Shank to Buy
Picking out the correct Fastway weight distribution shank comes down to picking the one that will provide the correct amount of drop you'll need. The part # FA92-02-4214 that you referenced can provide up to 5-1/2 inches of drop. If you are unsure the amount of rise/drop you need you'll want to measure from your trailer's coupler lip down to the ground when the trailer is sitting level and then you'll need to measure from the top of your hitch opening to the ground and the difference between...

  • Needing Dimensions on the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution Shank
The measurement from the top of the Fastway e2 Shank, # FA92-02-4214, to the center of the top first hole is 3-5/8 of an inch. Each hole after this first hole will be an 1-1/4 inch apart. The last hole or the bottom hole furthest from the hitch shank measures 1-5/8 of an inch from the bottom of the arm to the center of the bottom hole. I physically measured the part and found the measurements that are listed on the product page to be true and correct.

  • Shank with More Rise/Drop than What Comes with Fastway Weight Distribution Systems
If you need a few more inches of rise or drop the shank you would want is the part # FA92-02-4214 which has a height of 11-1/2 inches instead of 9 inches like what you said your current one has. I attached a picture that has the dimensions of this shank for you to check out as well.

  • Longer Shank Needed for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System
If the shank that came with your Blue Ox SwayPro doesn't allow you to at least be within 2" of your coupler height then you will need to use a different shank. The Fastway e2 shank, part # FA92-02-4214, is a little longer than your current shank but that won't hurt anything. Most importantly it has 3-1/2 more inches of drop for a total of 5-1/2 inches as opposed to the 2 inches you currently have. This will allow you to properly setup your weight distribution system.

  • Is 8 inches From Bottom of Weight Distribution System to Ground Enough Clearance
Eight inches from the ground to the bottom of your weight distribution shank would be fine for most situations but like you've experienced turning into inclined driveways can cause it to drag. Your trailer must sit pretty low to call for your shank setup to sit that low. It might be worth looking into raising your trailer suspension so that your shank settings could be a bit higher.
