Video Transcript for Let’s Check Out the Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the two inch lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs. This is for a quantity of two. Now, these will allow your air springs to be installed on vehicles that have a two inch lift. And basically, the distance between your upper and lower brackets must be between 7 1/2 and 8 1/2 inches.

And the spacer itself must be the same size as your lift kit rise. This part will include everything shown here on the table. It includes the two lift spacers, all the hardware necessary for installation, nice set of installation instructions. And the lift spacer will fit axle and leaf mounted air springs. Again, the application is vehicles with a two inch lift and a 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 inch measurement between the upper and lower brackets.

Now, this will not fit the Ride-Rite models F2350 or F2286, but it will fit the Ride-Rite model F2286 if it's manufactured after February 1st of 2006. But that should do it for the review on the two inch lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs..

Won't fit the GMC 2023 LZ0 Diesel!! I had the Ride-Rites on my 2013 Tacoma, and they worked great! I recently purchased a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 with the DuraMax 3.0 Turbo diesel LZ0 engine. The air bag kit F2609 does not fit this vehicle, even though Firestones WEB site indicated it did. The problem is the upper bracket and airbag contact the exhaust pipe. After calling Firestone, the product specialist knew of this information and are now updating their WEB site. After etrailer confirmed my findings with Firestone about this issue, everything will be returned, and they too will update their WEB site too :(

I'm giving etrailer's Customer Support 5 stars, and Firestone -20 stars for not keeping their WEB site current and knowing about this issue!

After a year of use including 3 months in Alaska, these Air helper springs have worked flawlessly. They give me just enough lift to level out my truck with over 800lbs of trailer tongue weight and 500lbs in the bed. I have individual adjustments on my Ride-rites and I haven't needed to make the pressure different from side to side. I'm now considering adding an adjustable air system that can be operated from inside the truck.

by:

Worked just fine. Had to purchase because truck had rough country 3" lift, although it only had 2" blocks for rear. Spacers seemed to be great quality. Was not impressed for how long shipping took. The bags only took 2 days. And it would be nice if there was a better warning I needed spacers for my air bags. It says compatible with lifts but that was it. So when I went to install, I had to take them back off and look it up. That's when I found they made spacers. I have to add I LOVE My Firestone Air suspension. When I hooked up to trailer, truck dropped 7"s. With airbags and 45lbs of air, dropped 2"s and ride was smooth.

After a year, bags still work just as well as they did the 1st day. So far I still havent had any air leaks or blessing off. It stays where I put it. I have a half tone truck. I just hauled 1 12 ton of top soil with 60lb of air and truck rode level. Even the guy on the loader complemented suspension. Next I would like to add controls from the cab or my phone so I dont have to use the air hose every time to change it.

by:

These spacers were the reason I chose Firestone Ride Rite over ReadyAir air helper springs, which would have required removal of my overload leaf springs. With the spacers that match my rear lift block spacers, it is a very easy installation.

by:

I just finished the installation of the air springs and spacers. All the parts were there, the instructions were easy to follow and all went well. I look forward to hooking up the fifth wheel or loading up with firewood. Thanks for the excellent service and the additional help answering my questions about the spacer kit to accommodate the lift on my truck.

The air bags are holding up well with no problems.

by:

I have a 2022 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 and these were not needed. When installed, the bags were fully compressed and didn't give the required 5.5" of travel.

by:

Top notch customer service! And product performs flawlessly time after time with 5k payload on spacers and airbags!! Couldn't be Happier Thank you ETRAILER!!!

by:

Etrailer was really helpful in finding the right product for me. The blocks installed easily and worked really welll

by:

I ordered the air bag extensions and they are still solid and working as they should. I got them on time no hassle at all.

by:

Exactly what I ordered with super fast shipping. Can't wait for my extension brackets to come in and install it on my truck

by:

These spacers were just what I needed after I modified the suspension on my old Chevy pickup. I bagged and 4 linked the rear but it was just a little too low, using these spacers got my ride height where it needed to be.

by:

Quality part and quick delivery. I’ll definitely be ordering from etrailer.com again.

by:

Great product. Does exactly what you ne ed.

  • Recommended Air Helper Springs For A 2018 Toyota Tundra With 2 Inch Lift
I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2445 for your 2018 Toyota Tundra. I like these air bags over the others that we offer because they're constructed of stronger material and have a better quality. These air bags have a 4,800 pound capacity and have an adjustable air pressure between 5 psi to 100 psi. I have added a cut out from Firestone which details the measurement you need to take in order to find the correct spacer. For example, if you installed the Ride-Rites...

  • Installation of Firestone Red Label Air Bags on 2012 Ford F-250 With Block Underneath Jounce Stop
Installing the # F2703 on your 2012 F-250 will require moving the block in your picture. However, I'm not sure if it can be moved to the top of the jounce stop since we don't have any information on it and neither did Firestone. I recommend checking with the manufacturer before attempting to move it to the top. The other option is to completely remove it. If you are able to swap it with the jounce stop you can measure to see if a spacer will be required. You will need to measure the distance...

  • Air Bags for 2024 Toyota Tundra With 3 Inch Lift
Hi Larry; you can use both Air Lift and Firestone air bags as long as you don't have the factory Air Suspension system. I recommend the Firestone # F89VV since they have a more durable construction which makes them far more reliable. With that 3" factory lift you will also need the Lift Spacers # F2366 for installation. I also recommend adding an air compressor like the Firestone Air Command Standard Duty Air Compressor # F29VV. This will allow you to adjust your air bags no matter where...

  • Will The Firestone Air Bags F2709 Fit A 2024 GMC 2500 AT4X With Factory Suspension Lift?
Hey Tim, the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs # F2709 will indeed fit your 2024 GMC 2500 AT4X with a factory suspension lift. You will likely need to use a spacer kit to compensate for the lift, depending on the amount of lift. For example, the Lift Spacers # F2366 are for vehicles with a 2" lift and with 7.5" to 8.5" between upper and lower brackets. Based on what I could find online the AT4X has a 1.5" factory lift, meaning the # F2366 will be exactly what...

  • Air Bag Suspension Enhancement Kit for 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD with 2 inch Lift
We have air bag suspension kits that can be used on your 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD that has a lift but not the Air Lift part # AL59561 that you mentioned as there isn't a way to add a spacer to the setup. Instead you'd want to go with the Firestone kit part # F2407 which can be used with the 2 inch spacer kit part # F2366 and you'd be set.

Hello Tim, so the Firestone Air Bag Kit # F2609 will indeed work with your 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 Duramax. Since the ZR2 has a factory 2" lift, you will need the Lift Spacer Kit # F2366 as well. I have included links to a few of our install videos below.

In regards to the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2558 which are a fit for a 2014 Nissan Frontier Pro 4X, you will indeed need to use a spacer if the vehicle has been lifted in the rear. If the vehicle has been lifted 2.5" then you will need to use a 2" spacer, the Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2366. There isn't a 2.5" spacer available so you'll want to use the 2" spacer instead of the 3" spacer which allows the air bags to do more of the work.

If you were looking for a recommendation I would say Firestone is the best option since they are the most durable and reliable. With your factory lift you will also need the # F2366 for installation. For your new 2024 Silverado 1500 ZR2 I recommend the Firestone # F2609. Firestone has the best construction by far so they're going to be strong and reliable. These air bags use 4 layers of reinforced rubber and are anchored with Firestone's rolled crimp seal so they stay secure. Since you have the 2" factory lift you are also going to want the Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - 2" Spacers # F2366. • Firestone Ride-Rite Air Bags For 2002 Ford F-350 with 3 inch Lift and Fifth Wheel Rails
The correct Firestone Ride Rite Kit for your 2002 Ford F-250 is the part # F2550. This kit is compatible with fifth wheel rails as well so it would fit with your current rail kit. Normally we don't recommend suspension enhancement for vehicles with suspension that needs work though. The best recommendation I can make is to replace the springs and then use the 3 inch blocks part # F2368 but if for some reason your suspension only really had a net of 2 inches of lift you would need the part...

None of the Air Lift kits are compatible, so I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2430. These air springs have a comparable 4,800 lbs load leveling capacity. • What Size Spacer Do I Need for a Firestone Air Bag System on a Lifted Chevy Silverado?
I would be happy to help you but there are so many different lift options its going to require you to take some measurements of your Chevy Silverado 2500's suspension. Most lift kits don't lift the same amount in the front as they do the back, so a 3-1/2" lift may only have 1"-1-1/2" of lift in the rear. The most accurate way to tell what spacer is needed is to measure. I attached a photo that shows where to measure, and the size of lift spacer needed. You'll want to make sure that your...

  • How to Determine Correct Spacers For Firestone Air Bags on 2016 Chevy Silverado w/ 3-1/2 Inch Lift
There are likely going to be some spacers that will work for you, though to find the correct ones you'll actually need to do some measuring during the install on your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 of the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs # F2709. The reason for that is a 3-1/2 inch suspension lift does not necessarily mean your truck was lifted 3-1/2 inches. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2407 which are a fit for a 2015 Toyota Tacoma are designed to attach to the leaf springs so any modifications to these springs such as add-a-leaf could render the system incompatible so I cannot recommend this. If the 1 inch lift at the back of your 2007 Toyota Tundra increased the distance between the frame and the axle, also by 1 inch, then you might need a spacer kit. The shortest spacer kit for Firestone Ride-Rite air bags is 1-1/4 inches, # F2536. What I recommend is to go with Timbren springs, # TTORTUN4. Then you could add a couple of 1 inch spacers, # A25723-90AH00, which are 1 inch.
