Today we're gonna be taking a look at the no drill mount kit for Firestone air tank and compressors. Our mount kit is gonna work great with several different Firestone accessory kits, compressors, and air tanks. We're gonna have this plate. You'll notice it's gonna have several holes in it. That's because it's gonna fit a lot of different compressors, but the holes on the end here line up with the studs. We'll take these flange nuts and we'll throw them in place on all four corners.
We'll come back with a 9/16 socket and snug all of them up.There we have a sturdy platform to mount our compressor directly up to. Now, since we're gonna want our bracket to sit as flat against the frame as possible, we're gonna put the flat side down and be mounting our compressor on this side. So, we're gonna take one of our machine screws and a flat washer, and coming from the bottom going up to the top we'll pass it through the holes that are gonna line up with our compressor. So, if we hold it up we can figure out which holes we need to use, and then we can pass through our hardware through each one of those. We're gonna take our compressor now, and we'll slide our hardware through the bushings that are on there.
Then we'll take another flat washer, slide it over the screw, and we're gonna loosely install a locking nut to secure everything down. We'll do that for all four corners. So, I'm gonna lift my compressor up. I'm gonna hold the screw on the back side with the screwdriver, while I come back with a 10 millimeter socket and snug up the nut. We'll make sure we do that for all four corners. So, now that we have the compressor mounted to the brackets, the way this is gonna work is we're gonna stand our compressor up so that it's gonna be flat against the frame, and then we'll take these U-bolts and we're gonna go around the frame, passing them through the holes, and then we can put the nuts on and it'll squeeze against the frame and hold everything in place.
Our tanks gonna work the same we.So, we found out that emergency brake cable and everything else on the driver side was really interfering with mounting everything. So, we moved over the passenger side, right by our muffler here, and we're gonna do the same thing. Just passing those U-bolts around the frame, and this time we're gonna have a lot of room. We're not gonna have to worry about hitting anything. We can slide them as needed.
So, we'll go ahead and put all three of them around the frame. Just want to watch for any kind of connectors or anything on top of the frame. Make sure you do get all the way around them, and then we get moving to the outside and hang our tank and compressor. So, I'm gonna slide the U-bolts through the brackets on our tank, and then take those locking nuts and put one on each end. Then we don't have to worry about the tank falling down. They still move a little bit, and that's okay. We won't have to worry about it falling off the frame. Now, for clearance purposes I'm gonna move the tank as close as I can to this running board mount. That way I have more room for my compressor right behind it. When you put your compressor up, you want to make sure you keep the wires out from behind the bracket, and just because this is a little bit heavier than the tank, I'm gonna get one side started. Make sure those nuts are in place, and then I'll work on getting the other U-bolt through the bracket. Whenever you mount your compressor, you just want to make sure you still have access to all your fittings, and you can route your electrical cables to that pressure switch, which is gonna be on top. Then once we have everything positioned where we want it, I'm gonna go ahead and snug up our hardware. Again, this is a 9/16 socket. With the U-bolts, you want to alternate going back and forth, that way you get an even draw on that bracket. That'll finish up your look. That's the Firestone no drill mount kit for Firestone air tank and compressors.

This kit is designed to mount your Firestone air tank and compressor quickly and easily to your vehicle. The brackets clamp onto your vehicle's frame and are pre-drilled to reduce installation time.Brackets made install much easier. Trimmed off extra threads to make look cleaner. A must have IMO. God bless. Jesus saves.
I recently purchased this compressor kit along with the AirLift Loadlifter 7500 XL air springs for my 2015 Silverado 3500. Installation for both is pretty straight forward but it did take me longer than I expected (about 8 hours total). They definitely help keep the ride height at factory designed levels & the auto leveling feature with the air compressor is excellent. I definitely recommend the wireless remote for the do-it-yourselfers as install doesn't require piercing the firewall to run wires for a switch. The wireless remote gives a digital easy to read screen that you can adjust while driving even. Overall I give this product a 5 star rating.
Does what it’s supposed to do. But be aware this kit does not have holes that line up with the bolt holes in the compressor kit f2549. The holes have to be slotted a bit.
