Video Transcript for An In-Depth Look at the Front Runner Water Tank Hose Kit

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the Front Runner water tank hose kit. This is going to be an add-on kit for your Front Runner water tanks, but can also fit your other brand water tanks. This is gonna be an almost five foot long hose and it comes with different fittings for those different situations. This is going to have a clear braided hose so you can see how there's a lot of structural integrity to that hose. Great for if you have it wrapped around your overlanding rig in your vehicle.

This is ideally used with your water tank. You can see that we have our storage water tank where it fits right there in the corner. And this design helps prevent kinks from happening in the hose. You can see here that I have to apply a good amount of pressure in order to fold the hose in half but even then it still has a little bit of space to provide a little bit of water to go through. The hose is going to have a half inch diameter, which will fit onto most of those barbed fittings that you'll find on Front Runner tanks.

You also have this collar included and you just need to use your own Phillips head screwdriver to tighten those down. Included with these are three pipe fittings to cover most situations. And if you need other pipe fittings, you can find them available here at etrailer. And just make sure that they fit inside that half inch inner diameter. So you have this short elbow fitting, you also have this straight fitting, and then you have this quick release fitting.

This fits over the hose and then you tighten down on it to make sure that it is secure. And this is going to be a snap-on style quick release plug. So you can see how this works by pulling on this collar. So if you wanna use the hose on its own, this is gonna be helpful for you. So right here at the end, that's gonna be the plug.

So notice how I push down, and that means that even if you turn on the water, no water will come out. If you pull on this, you can then remove that plug or just adjust the flow of water by lifting up like that. So this is gonna be helpful for if you don't have a separate spout although you can find one at etrailer. Turning the water tank to open, we're then going to look over here. Everything's all blocked up and plugged in. Now we're gonna pull on that fitting and then pull this out and now we have that flow of water. Turning our tank right back off, you can see how that water flow stops. (water gurgling) So this fitting is helpful for maybe you're using your water tanks as a shower reservoir or you need to use this for your overland kitchen setup and you'd prefer a faucet style fitting. But if you needed a more focused flow, that's where the straight fittings come in handy. You'll also have this bracket that you can use to hang the hose. Now this was designed to be used with your Front Runner racks, but if you have a spot on your vehicle that can fit the bolt, this is going to be M8 hardware by the way in terms of diameter. If you want to, you can utilize those spots to hang the bracket yourself and then you can hang your hose for your different situations. If you do have a Front Runner water tank, I highly recommend taking a look at this add-on hose kit just because you know for sure that this is going to be a fit for the fittings you'll find on those water tanks and for different either racks you may have to be used with the brackets or other scenarios.
