Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Lockable Tie-Down Strap for the Front Runner Platform Racks and Crossbars. Now, this is a steel reinforced polyester strap. It has a lockable latch on one end, and a carabiner on the other end. And this will let you secure items to your platform rack or your crossbar channels.

The latch over here is a lockable latch. It'll secure with a small combination lock. Now, that lock is not included. If you do want to be able to lock it, we do sell that combination lock separately on our website. Basically, otherwise, it would just latch on its own, just like that.

Now, this part will include everything shown here on the table. The strap assembly with the lockable latch and the carabiner, the two eye nuts and hardware, the lock catch mount with hardware, the T-slot rubber, and a nice set of instructions that'll describe how this all goes together. Now, the T-slot rubber length right here, this will be installed into the T-slots of your roof rack underneath the storage box, to prevent any movement of that box when you tighten it down. Now, the included eye nut and the latch catch will also install on the rack's top channel. And basically, on one end will be the eye nuts, and that'll attach to the carabiner.

Basically, it just clips into the eye nut like that for the one end. And then you'll run your strap over your box you're tightening down. And the other end, the lockable latch here, will attach to the latch catch. So what you'll do after you run this over, adjust it to the right length you need, open up your latch, and then hook that onto the catch just like that. When you pull up on this, it'll tighten it.

Push it down, and it will close it in place. And again, like I said, if you do get the lock, you can actually lock that for extra security. Now, the strap length, it is adjustable. It'll adjust to different lengths to accommodate different size loads. The usable length, it adjusts from 11 and five eights inches, all the way up to 26 and three sixteenths inches. The width on the strap is one and a half inches. Now, the bag that you're gonna tighten down are the storage box, the sides, and the top will require a minimum combined length of 27 and a half inches, or a maximum combined length of 41 and five 16 inches. And the minimum height is eight inches to be adequately adequately secured. Now, this strap here we mentioned, it has embedded steel cables in it to resist cutting and prevent theft.
