Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Quick-Release Rooftop Tent Mounting Kit for your Front Runner platform racks. These four quick-release rooftop tent brackets are going to let you easily mount and remove a tent on your Front Runner Slimline II or Slimsport platform rack. Now, this is going to be a relatively easy installation with the included hardware that you see here on my table. The base brackets with the latches, let me go ahead and just take this apart and show you that. So this base bracket with the latch is going to install on the top channels in your Front Runner platform rack, and the catches and the bob and bolts are going to secure to your rooftop tent's base channels.

So once you have these two pieces installed, you're going to align the bob and bolts on your tent to the base brackets on your platform, and then you're just going to slide it into place like so, and then you're going to close the latches to secure this just like that. And then you're going to be good to go, and, of course, you'll do that with the other latches as well once you have this completely installed. And let me just show you how you can easily release this. We do have like a catch here, so you'll just slide that back and bring that latch back, and then that's going to allow you to then slide this, the catch and bob and bolts out. So very easy to use, it's gonna be very simple to use, and then that's going to be very secure once you have the latch in place.

Now, if you noticed, we do have a spot here where you can put a small accessory lock to help deter theft. If you are looking for a lock and you don't have one presently, take a look at the related products section at the bottom of this product page, and we do have an accessory lock from Front Runner that will work with these brackets. Now, these compact brackets can also be left on your rack and tent base when they're not in use. And these are black powder coated, as you can see, the brackets have a really nice coat of powder coating, and then the latches are stainless steel to help resist corrosion. And just some overall dimensions to kinda give you an idea of the size of these brackets, I went ahead and measured this bracket earlier.

So the overall length, measuring at the longest points here, we're sitting right about 5 3/16 inches long, and then at the widest point, we're sitting at about 5 5/8 inches wide, and then the overall height, we're sitting at about 2 3/8 inches tall. Now, again, this is for a set of four brackets, but we do also offer this in a set of six or a set of two. So if you would do better with either six or two of these and you don't need four, I have included our item numbers on your screen for those sets. Make sure to review your installation guide to verify if your tent is compatible. Hard shell tents like the James Baroud, iKamper, and Autohome do require additional support channel sets, those are sold separately. Some tents may need additional nut plates that are not included with this kit, and then large and heavy tents may require additional brackets for support.
