Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Pro water tank with mounting system and tap for your Front Runner platform racks. Now this 5.3 gallon water tank with this mounting bracket is going to let you carry and dispense drinking water on your overland adventure. This is going to be great for tabletop use. As you can see, I have this set up here on my tabletop and it's going to be very stable on here so that you can use this to dispense water. And this is designed to mount on your Front Runner Slimline II and Slimsport platform racks.
And I included a few pictures there on your screen just to give you an idea of what this is going to look like when this is mounted on your rack. So hopefully that gives you a better picture in case you didn't have one already in your mind of how this is going to look installed on your rack. And this heavy duty steel bracket is going to secure this tank on your rack and it's going to keep it easily accessible. Let me zoom out here real quick and just show you, there is a hinge here at the back of this bracket. So when you have this mounted to your rack and you unlock it here, then this is just going to swing up like so.
And then you're going to be able to remove your water tank. So once you have this installed, this is going to be very easy to use, very easy to remove this tank so you can get your water. Now the adjustable stainless steel latch that you see here it's going to lock with a small accessory lock. I don't have that accessory lock here to show you, but if you look at the related product section on this product page, you're gonna see that little lock that's going to be able to slide right in here. Now I do have this catch here where this is going to latch onto.
I just have it set up here on my table just to show you what this is going to look like. So you're going to have this portion also mounted to your rack. So then you're gonna be able just to slide this latch in here and then secure it with our latch. And then that's going to keep this bracket closed and secured while it's on your rack and you're going down the road. So you're not gonna have to worry about that.
So very easy setup and very easy to secure it and unsecure it so you can use it. If you notice here the mounting bracket does cover the filling cap to deter water theft. So it's gonna be very difficult for someone to try to get into this tank when you have your bracket secured to your rack. Now also included here, we do have a half inch BSP black powder coated steel tap. I do wanna point out that the fittings on this uses British standard pipe threads, so they're not going to be compatible with fittings that use NPT threads. So you may need a BSP to NPT adapter to add an aftermarket hose or tap. Now let me go ahead and just remove this bracket quickly and just give you an overview of our tank. This tank is made of durable polyethylene, so this is going to be very tough. It's gonna be very long lasting. Of course, here's the cap here where you're gonna fill this up with water. And this is a BPA free plastic, so it's not gonna contaminate your water. You are going to receive another cap here that's actually, it's probably going to be inserted into this hole when you receive it. So if you decide to remove the tap, then this cap will go back into that opening there to prevent any water from leaking out or anything like that. So very durable tank. It's gonna hold up well to the elements when this is sitting on top of your rack and I think it's going to be, as I mentioned, very long lasting. Now just some overall measurements so you have a good idea of the size of this tank. Looking at the overall length first. So the tank itself is going to be from end to end about 18 and a half inches long. Now when you add the bracket, that's going to increase the length a little bit. So overall from end to end it's gonna be about 20 and a half inches long. And then the width, the bracket's not going to affect the width of this tank. We're sitting at about six and 11/16 inches wide. And then the overall height, we're sitting at about 13 and 13/16 inches tall. And then if you add the portion here where the bracket covers up our cap here at the top, it's gonna be about 15 inches tall from top of the bracket all the way to the base of our tank. This weighs about six pounds. Obviously that's before you have any water in this. Instructions are included with this to walk you through the simple installation process. I mentioned this cap is also going to be included in case you decide to remove this tap. And then we're gonna, you're gonna get a strip of T slot rubber as well. So that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
