If you want to expand your solar setup to collect more sunlight and charge your batteries faster, this solar panel expansion will add more amperage to your charging output. This kit includes a single 100-watt solar panel with mounting hardware that connects to your existing Go Power system using the included MC4 branch connectors.

High-Efficiency, Monocrystalline Solar Panel

solar cells

The silicon cells are set between a cushioned backing material and tempered solar glass to withstand the elements. The glass has low-iron content to provide exceptional transparency, which ensures maximum sunlight collection. The panel is framed with anodized marine-grade aluminum to resist rust and corrosion. And in optimal sunlight conditions, the panel produces 100 watts per hour.

Easy Connection to Go Power Solar Charging Systems

mc4 connectors

This kit is compatible with several Go Power Solar Charging Systems (sold separately). However, the total amount of amps generated by the panels cannot exceed your solar controller's maximum amperage. The solar panel installs anywhere on your RV roof with included mounting feet and hardware. To maximize sunlight collection, it is important to install the panel where it avoids shadows cast by objects, like an air conditioner or vent. The panel is wired in parallel to another panel using MC4 branch connectors.

This panel matched an existing panel on my camper perfectly. The increased overall wattage is just enough to keep our camper battery charged for days of dry camping.

The solar panel continues to perform. An additional Li battery was added to further boost off grid capabilities.

The 100W expansion panel is a welcome addition to our existing two 95W panels. To match up with an internal roof support rib we drilled two new holes in the bottom of the frame to move the rear panel feet forward. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice if the frame had more built-in adjustability for the panel feet.

  • How Panel Solar Panels Can You Add to Go Power Solar Controller GP-PWM-30-UL
The Go Power Solar Controller part GP-PWM-30-UL is rated for up to 600 watts of solar so if you only have one 100 watt panel now, you can add up to five more of these before you max out the solar controller. The Go Power Retreat Expansion Kit part # 34272634 is an excellent option for this and what I recommend using. It has a 100 watt rating and everything you need for installation.

  • Can You Upgrade the Solar Capacity of a 2020 Forest River Sunseeker Motorhome
I do have options for you to expand the solar system on your motorhome but a few things to keep in mind, you're limited to the capacity of the solar controller so you'll need to know what your current capacity is in order to expand. In addition to system capacity, you'll also need to know what type of connectors you have for panel compatibility. The Go Power Retreat Expansion Kit part # 34272634 for example is a 100 watt rated panel and uses MC4 style connectors. If you can provide me...

  • Parts Needed to Install Solar Kit on Camper with Solar Prep
If you have a plug on the side of the camper for solar prep, you most likely have the solar prep plug on the roof too. If you have a solar controller on the inside of the camper you will just need the Go Power Retreat Expansion Kit # 34272634 to plug into your roof of your camper. If you still need a controller in your camper then you will want to go with the Go Power Retreat Solar Charging System with Digital Solar Controller # 34272635.

Your Flagstaff E Pro 12SRK will have the Go Power Retreat Solar Charging System with Digital Solar Controller # 34272635 installed at the factory. You can add up to an additional 4 Solar Panels # 34272634 with the your 30 amp charge controller. Each panel is 47-1/16" long x 21-7/16" wide x 1-3/8" deep so you will need to check your roof for the additional room needed to attach each 100watt panel.

  • How Many Solar Panels Do I Need For My Camper Van Build
Yes, we can help with this, but I suggest considering the needed wattage of solar instead of number of panels, as solar panels are measured in watts and can range from values of 100 watts or less, to several hundred watts depending on size and build. How many watts you need is relative to the amp hours (AH) of your battery/battery bank and what the actual useable stored energy is while comparing that to the expected rate of use. Most battery banks for RV use will be either some type...

  • How Much Solar Can You Add to a Forest River Flagstaff Trailer
I would love to help but there's a lot to unpack here so perhaps taking a look through our help articles on solar energy first which I have attached for you below, will better serve you. That said, the Go Power Retreat Solar Charging System with Digital Solar Controller part # 34272635 is a good basic option to start out with. It comes with 1 x 100 watt panel but you can add two more for a total of three using the Go Power Retreat Expansion Kit part # 34272634. That said, these panels aren't...

Since you need only one controller I suggest adding the expansion panel to avoid having duplicate parts. You can use the Go Power Retreat-E Expansion Kit # 34272634 which has a panel that measures 47-1/16 long x 21-7/16 wide x 1-3/8 deep along with the Go Power Eco Solar Kit # 34272627 which has a panel that is 30-3/4 long x 26-1/2 wide x 1-3/8 deep. The hardware with the Go Power Retreat Expansion Kit part # 34272634 work out great for wood as most of the RV roofs now days are wood with a rubber overlay. The panels will match very closely to the height of your current panels so it will remain very consistent.
