Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the Installation Kit for Go Power Inverters

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the 200 amp installation kit for the Go Power 12 volt or 24 volt inverters. Now this installation kit will include everything that you need to connect your inverter to your battery. This is a 200 amp installation kit, it is designed for 12 volt inverters, 1100 to 1800 watt size, and 24 volt inverters, 2000 to 3000 watt size. This kit will include everything laid out here on the table. Gives you 10 feet of the red number two gauge wire cable, 10 feet of the black number two gauge wire cable, a class T 200 amp inverter fuse with the block and a nice cover, and all the necessary hardware that you need. Clamps, screws, cable ties to install it and a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how to install it with pictures. And the installation of this actually is pretty simple.

I'll briefly just go through it here. But basically what you want to do is you'll install this fuse block on the positive cable near the battery. Basically what you do is take this red wire. You cut it in two. You take the first piece, connect it to the positive side of the battery and run the other end to the side of the fuse block.

You take the second piece of the red wire, connect one end of that piece to the fuse block here and the other end you connect to the positive side of the inverter. The black wire here, you just run that directly from the negative battery side directly to the negative side on the inverter. So pretty simple, and again, it gives you a nice set of instructions describing that. But that should do it for the review on the 200 amp installation kit for the Go Power 12 volt or 24 volt inverters.

  • What is a Good Inverter for Extended Boondocking and Using Microwave and Coffee Pot?
I recommend the2,000 Watts - 12VDC Progressive Dynamics Pure Sine Wave Inverter w/ Transfer Switch, # PD64FR.This 2,000-Watt inverter uses pure sine wave technology so it is perfect for sensitive electronics. What I really like about this option is the integrated transfer switch that automatically changes from inverter to shore power when you hook up at the campground. This can generate 4,000 starting watts and 2,000 running watts so no issues with your coffee pot and microwave. Although,...

  • Should A Fuse Be Used When Installing Pure Sine Wave Inverter
The Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter, # 34278156 that you linked to is a great addition to any travel trailer and yes it should be installed with a fuse located between it and the battery. I recommend the 200 amp Go Power Inverter Fuse with Block, # 34244226REVA. Or you can use the Installation Kit for Go Power Inverters, # 342GPDCKIT3 that contains the fuse and two 10' lengths of # 2 gauge cable.

  • Fuse Block For 1,500 Watt Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter
That depends entirely on the inverter you get as there isn't just a recommended inline fuse from the battery bank to the inverter, as they require different fuse blocks. For the 1,500 watt Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34279950 you will need the 200 amp rating of the fuse block in the Installation Kit for Go Power Inverters - 200 Amp Fuse - 12V and 24V # 342GPDCKIT3.

  • Recommended Inverter And Transfer Switch For AC Powered Refrigerator In 5th Wheel Trailer
We have exactly what you are looking for. Since you do not have an inverter already, I recommend the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter with Transfer Switch # 34279458 which has a built in transfer switch that will switch from the inverter to shore power when it is available. This 1500 watt inverter will convert the 12v DC power from the batteries in your 5th wheel trailer to AC power allowing you to power your refrigerator while on the road without needing to use propane. To...

  • Installation of 2,000 Watt Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter For 24 Volt Battery Bank
What I think you are asking with your question is how the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter, # 34279952 is connected to your battery bank. This is a 2,000 watt inverter for use with a 24 Volt battery system. You will need to remove the DC terminal covers to install the Pos/Neg leads using ring terminals. Please refer to the image on page 11 of the installation instructions. With all inverter installations, it is highly recommended to use a fuse. If you do not already have...
