Stainless steel turnbuckles allow you to firmly secure your truck bed camper to your tie-down system. Internal springs on front turnbuckles help to reduce stress on tie-down points.

These HappiJac turnbuckles are recommended for use with HappiJac truck bed camper tie-downs (sold separately), but they can also be used with most other tie-down systems that accept J-hook-style turnbuckles. Unlike standard chain-style turnbuckles, HappiJac turnbuckles provide more stability and better control to prevent shifting of your camper during travel.
To secure your camper in your truck bed, hook the threaded end of each turnbuckle onto an anchor point on your camper and then connect the non-threaded end to the tie-down anchor on your truck. Then simply hand-tighten each turnbuckle barrel for a secure connection.
For faster operation, you can upgrade these standard turnbuckles with the HappiJac Qwik-Load system (LC182894). The Qwik-Load handles keep you from having to hand-tighten each turnbuckle, and they allow you to quickly and easily disconnect.

Stainless steel turnbuckles allow you to firmly secure your truck bed camper to your tie-down system. Internal springs on front turnbuckles help to reduce stress on tie-down points.Installed Item #LC182910-182971 (FT-UT9 kit) on my 1992 Chevy Silverado K3500 Single-Wheels w/8' Bed. Arrived quickly with all needed parts and good installation guide. Install took leisurely 3 or 4 hours total; nothing hard to do. Mount attached below to chevy's frame "ears", the c-bolts came down directly adjacent to both frame ears for easy drilling and a solid install. Couldn't be happier to install something solid, while dumping my older ineffective stake-well mounts that were always a pain getting torqued, twisted and loose.
Great camper tie down connection device. We let our trusted mechanic install it for a flawless result. This item is just the ticket for securing the load. In our case, we connected a restored vintage '95 Elkhorn 8' camper to an airbag-equipped 2011 Toyota Tundra. Drove from AZ to northwestern Montana and lived in it for 3 weeks. Great product, guys! (Tried multiple times to share photos, but site will not allow it!)
Construction of product is good except for the fact that the threaded hooks and retainer nut are not SS and therefore will be susceptible to rust & deterioration.
Great product for the Money very good tie downs
These were a different style than what we had on our old camper, but they fit like a glove and we have been so pleased with the customer service and email notifications regarding our order.
These hold down work as designed and are easy to use. I especially like how the lock nut keeps them tight even over rough roads. I would recommend them to hold down any truck camper effectively.
Fantastic customer support. I will be sending sn email because bolt kit D is missing
Bought this product in September of 2021 , a year later i can tell that the tie down system works great with very little sway of camper side to side , I would recommend these to every camper owner .
Excellent, Choice excellent service
I bought 4 HappiJac turnbuckles to hold my truck camper on the back of my truck. They work great. Thank you etrailer.com for recommending a good quality, resonable priced product for my needs.
Product as advertised. Shipping very prompt as always with eTrailer. Arrived early.
Very happy with the quality of these turnbuckles, I’ve used cheaper versions and they just don’t up like these ones do.
Nice simple design that functions well. I just got back from Ohio with my Camper and the tie-downs functioned perfectly at or maybe slightly above all posted speed limits. No problems.
I installed these with Torqlift anchors and used some chain and quick links form TSC.
These were replacements for the originals from 2001. Nice quality and should provide good service for a long time. The front turnbuckles were still good, the rear ones had the rubber bushings inside deteriorate and needed replacing.
I’m a rancher and a picky one at that. Ordering seemed straight forward enough. The products arrived 2-4 days earlier than expected. The camper frame tie downs, 20 ton hitch, and all necessary hardware were in excellent condition and quality made products. Very nice.
After having a set for almost 20 years, I thought it was time (probably overdue) to replace them. The turnbuckles have always worked well for me.
Worked as advertised!
Good product. Solid. Well built and reliable.
Easy to install and remove.
It appears the front turnbuckles are going to be short. I should be able to fix it by adding a couple locking links.
Overall it’s a good place to start, I had to fabricate a spacer to make the drivers side front bracket fit and the rear clamp on the brace is a little bit questionable as to weather it will hold and sufficiently brace the bumper. I may change that attach method.
Service was great, instructions are easy to read. Fast shipping
They would not reach from tork frame mounts to camper tie downs. I would not have purchased if I new that.
Clear online catalog, easy order, prompt feedback on delivery time ( thank you George J ), parcel here to my remote location in Québec in less than one week.
Product instructions clear, easy install - about 2 h.
Good Price.
Needs tools to tight en.
I put these on my F250 for when I carry my Northstar Camper and they have made an enormous difference, especially in sway. They work!
